Surviving Busy Times
It seems to be a pretty busy time for most of
us within the business lately; as always, it
feels like there’s a lot to get done in a short
time frame and many people have taken on
more than was previously on their plate for
one reason or another.
This all means that things can feel quite
stressful at times and we need to make sure
we’re working in the right ways to get the
best from ourselves and one another alike.

Role: Campaigns
I would love to travel to: Big cities and
beach destinations, but always somewhere
new
Favourite Cusine: Mexican! And then Thai
About me: 1 year, 3 months and 10 days ago
my partner and I left Mexico City to pursue a
new adventure. We both come from different
backgrounds: he is Spanish and I am Mexican.
So far we are in love with this country. But
what we are enjoying the most is travelling and
exploring countries and cities we thought we
would never be able to go!
Australia

Role: Business Development
I would love to travel to: Of places I have
been already – faves are Borobudur, Japan,
Mexico and good old New York City. On the
bucket list – Bhutan, Guatemala, Colombia, Sri
Lanka, and Memphis (huge Elvis fan)
Favourite Cusine: I love all cuisines, but am a
sucker for simple French cooking – if there is

A memorable travel story: Hiking a snow-
covered Moroccan mountain in cowboy boots to
lunch at a Kasbah - never let inappropriate
footwear get in the way of a good meal.
Role: Creative
I would love to travel to: My favourites are
ever changing, but as of late I've really enjoyed
exploring Southeast Asia. I like the blend of old
and new, enjoy learning about the rich culture
and history, and have found the people to be
very kind.
Favourite Cusine: Hawaii Regional Cuisine – a
cooking style that blends the ethnic flavours of
Hawaii and the Asia-Pacific region.
A fun fact: A while back, I decided that I
wanted to spend my birthday in a new city
every year. So far I've been able to celebrate in
10 cities and hope to keep the dream alive for
many more!

Role: CRM
I would love to travel to: Machu Picchu,
Peru. Photos seen online don’t do it justice
Favourite Cusine: Woodfired pizza!
About me: My wife and I recently did a safari
in Africa, and stayed “in camp” out in the wild.
Brushing your teeth outside at night and
hearing hyenas call to each other 30m away
was an interesting experience.

awards will be presented at the
next team talk.
As a refresher you can nominate
an employee for being:
Collaborative
Responsive
Innovative
Passionate
Proactive
Precise

values can be found on the Wiki.
Congratulations to the 3 recipients of last
quarters COE awards.
All recipients were awarded with a “Bravo”

12. Too much change at
once
Do you and your team feel
overwhelmed by company
initiatives? You’re not alone.
In one recent Strategy&
survey of 2,200 employees,
65 percent said they've
experienced “change
fatigue” (i.e., being told to
absorb more changes than
they could handle at once).
Identify and name an
emotion that’s
holding you back
What's one of the most
powerful roadblocks you
can face as a manager?
Your own mind. Doubt,
anxiety, anger, or just plain
distraction — emotions can
take over your thoughts
and hold you back.
Mindfulness and meditation
experts suggest that
recognizing and naming
your emotions is an
important step toward
greater resilience.
