Static charges during lens manufacturing
Problem
During the process of forming, polishing and engraving of lens, electrostatic charges
develop on surface of lens. These static charges can be in the range of 10 – 12 kV. Due to
presence of static charges on surface of lenses, dust particles may stick on the surface
hampering the further coating process. Hence, it is important to eliminate static charges
during the process.

IN 10 G ionizing air nozzle with gun provides an effective solution in nullifying the
effect of static charges in this application. The ionising air gun can be hand held and the
ionised air shower can be targeted on the surface of the lens to eliminate the static charges.
