Statement of Purpose to Attend MIT
APPLICATION ESSAY: MY GOALS, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS HOW DOES MIT ALIGN WITH YOUR GOALS (E.G., ACADEMIC,
PERSONAL, CAREER, EXTRACURRICULAR, ETC)? In the XXI century, it became clear to everyone that the society was about to change, and
that it would do so rapidly. The transformation of the society from industrial to informational caught a lot of people unexpected, yet it was obvious
that the time to redefine their place in the world had come. While my goals have admittedly not yet been defined with exact precision, I am still
pretty certain about my future evolution as a public person, a committed professional, a lifelong learner and an entrepreneur, which the given
educational establishment will definitely help me with. At present, I hope to attain an Associate Degree at Middlesex and then pursue my goal of
getting a Bachelor Degree in Computing at your establishment. I am planning to use the results of the given research as the means to make a
breakthrough in the field of information technology as people know it. Even with the current results, I already realize that I am at the threshold of
discovering the information that will change the landscape of computing impressively. My key goals as far as my academic life and career go,
therefore, concern the improvement of the current computing methods, as well as the analysis of the usage of informational technologies in general. I
am trying to make a difference at the time when people need new ways of processing larger

Argumentative Essay On College Admissions
On January 20, 2016, Today released an article on college admissions. They stated that over 80 colleges have been considering radical changes to the
admission process and possibly even doing away with standardized test scores; the two main tests being the SAT and ACT. The dean of admissions at
MIT, Stu Schmill, even told Today that he thinks "'our students are just doing too much...they feel like they have to do too much, and they really don't'"
(Schmill). The issue with this statement is that since students have been pushed so hard in the past to ramp up their extracurriculars, getting all
students to go back to a reasonable amount of activities will be almost impossible. There also is the issue of those who will continue the crazy amount

Digital Media Admission Essay
Throughout my childhood, I've always wanted to tell a story from my perspective. I was born with introverted tendencies, and I still have a hard
time articulating to people my thoughts. But creating short films has always been an effective medium to express my true self to the audience
around me. Most importantly, creating short stories helps me to understand who I am. I would like to be considered for the IFDM program because I
believe I was born to tell a story, and I would like the experience of others to help shape my influence.
My first experience with digital media started at Volcano VistaHigh School. Registering as an incoming freshman, I wanted to become a
photographer. I distinctly remember registering for photography class, but I was stuck with digital media as an alternative. I like to joke that it was
either destiny that put me in that class, or a huge mistake. Nonetheless, I instantly fell in love with digital media. My teacher, Jan Sherer, provided me
with equipment and software to be able to learn the basics of digital media. Although she was unpopular by most students in her class, I always
considered her a mentor. By senior year, I became proficient in most adobe products such as Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition. I
also learned different camera techniques thanks to her teachings. She also entrusted me with a cameraman job for the schools daily morning...show more

I am currently holding an internship with Moji studios, and a couple of my coworkers have graduated under IFDM. What I've noticed with IFDM
graduates is that their level of skills in the field they specialize in is astounding. Furthermore, graduates of IFDM have a higher chance of finding a
career, or so I hear. I would love to take this program so that I can find my specialty in digital media, and mature those skills to a professional level. I
know IFDM can provide me with the tools that I

Summer Program Application Essay
The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique
opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able
to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted
into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for
the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become

I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different
art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could
learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like
I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous
summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards
others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am
what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more
towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am

Admission Essay For College Application
I am a product of the American dream, my family has gone from moving around dangerous neighborhoods and relying on my grandparents for food
to working in fantastic positions and sending three kids to college to pursue advanced professional degrees. I have experienced life from both sides of
the economic tracks. My life has made me open–minded and extremely independent. Being part of my family has motivated me to always look for
challenges. In the coming spring, after I defend my thesis and graduate early in December, I am planning to solo hike the Appalachian trail. A trek

Not a single day passes when I do not explore the University's website. In my dreams, I am already there. As I walk through the gates on the Forbes

Further, with the university's expansive network of global educational opportunities, which includes the satellite campus in Qatar, I wish to make use
of the study abroad program to spend one or two semesters, here in Qatar. That will allow me to spare some time with my family while I continue to

Moreover, a safe and secure campus is a good reassurance to a girl student. That, coupled with the university's stand as a leading institution for women

Department of interest: Industrial design
I'm drawn to design because it is everywhere and has the potential to affect so much of how people feel about a certain space or about an experience.
From a young age, I was fortunate to be exposed to art; my parents would constantly take my brother and me to museums and galleries and at home, my
grandmother would teach me skills such as crocheting, needlepoint and how to replicate food out of playdough. In both elementary school and middle
school I drew and created little things such as bookmarks and stuffed animals, but I was never known as the "art kid". I loved art and I understood that
there was so much potential to create something original and to express an idea, but I just didn't understand how. Early eighth grade I found out about

that same year I got a chance to work with new materials and discovered an interest in sculpture. I enjoyed the process of learning the potential of
different materials and the problem solving it takes to make what I had decided I am going to make. Where I had previously liked graphic design
best, I realized that I found a different kind of satisfaction from physically creating an object. The final step that inspired my realization, was a
communications class in which, one of the projects was to invent a product and create a print ad for it. While doing this project, it all clicked for me.
I ended up creating way more material for the product than was required because I got sucked into the world that I created for it, fantasizing about
packaging and display and consistent branding. It combined everything I liked: graphic design, new materials, 3D elements and for me all this pointed

College Essay : My Journey To College
My trip to graduation What has my journey to graduation been like for me? My journey has been a crazy, fun–filled learning adventure. I met many
goals and accomplishments I set for myself but I also faced some challenges on the way. For example, I finally met my goal of graduating with a
4.6 GPA and maintaining it. Also, I accomplished completing my last four years of grade school and now I am on the way to college. My last
year has been interesting and there are many goals, accomplishments and challenges I can reflect on. To begin with, I finally made it! I am now
sitting in my seat in the Ted Constant Center and I am about to walk across the stage. It feels like it took forever for this moment to come but I am

push that I could do it. As a matter of fact, one goal I met was to get into one of the three colleges I applied to and I did. I am ecstatic to say that I
am going to be a freshman at George Mason University this following school year. Not to mention that I also received a numerous amount of
scholarships and grants. On top of that, this school year the color guard got Grand Champions at a completion we participated in in North
Carolina. I was super excited when they announced us as Grand Champions because we had a lot of setbacks during the season. Such as, not
having an instructor to teach us the work and having to learn the work from YouTube to having to stay late after the other kids left so we could
learn our week for our show to practicing in the rain. We worked really hard this season and for us to be announced as Grand Champions shows
that our hard work payed off. The goals I set for myself were met and I couldn't be any happier. Even though I met my goals this past year, I also
faced some challenges. Such as, trying to not stress out from the amount of homework, tests, and quizzes, trying to not worry about my future and what
is going to happen and balancing my friendships. I felt like crying so

Statement Of Purpose To Attend MIT

  • 1. Statement of Purpose to Attend MIT APPLICATION ESSAY: MY GOALS, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS HOW DOES MIT ALIGN WITH YOUR GOALS (E.G., ACADEMIC, PERSONAL, CAREER, EXTRACURRICULAR, ETC)? In the XXI century, it became clear to everyone that the society was about to change, and that it would do so rapidly. The transformation of the society from industrial to informational caught a lot of people unexpected, yet it was obvious that the time to redefine their place in the world had come. While my goals have admittedly not yet been defined with exact precision, I am still pretty certain about my future evolution as a public person, a committed professional, a lifelong learner and an entrepreneur, which the given educational establishment will definitely help me with. At present, I hope to attain an Associate Degree at Middlesex and then pursue my goal of getting a Bachelor Degree in Computing at your establishment. I am planning to use the results of the given research as the means to make a breakthrough in the field of information technology as people know it. Even with the current results, I already realize that I am at the threshold of discovering the information that will change the landscape of computing impressively. My key goals as far as my academic life and career go, therefore, concern the improvement of the current computing methods, as well as the analysis of the usage of informational technologies in general. I am trying to make a difference at the time when people need new ways of processing larger Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Argumentative Essay On College Admissions On January 20, 2016, Today released an article on college admissions. They stated that over 80 colleges have been considering radical changes to the admission process and possibly even doing away with standardized test scores; the two main tests being the SAT and ACT. The dean of admissions at MIT, Stu Schmill, even told Today that he thinks "'our students are just doing too much...they feel like they have to do too much, and they really don't'" (Schmill). The issue with this statement is that since students have been pushed so hard in the past to ramp up their extracurriculars, getting all students to go back to a reasonable amount of activities will be almost impossible. There also is the issue of those who will continue the crazy amount Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 4. Digital Media Admission Essay Throughout my childhood, I've always wanted to tell a story from my perspective. I was born with introverted tendencies, and I still have a hard time articulating to people my thoughts. But creating short films has always been an effective medium to express my true self to the audience around me. Most importantly, creating short stories helps me to understand who I am. I would like to be considered for the IFDM program because I believe I was born to tell a story, and I would like the experience of others to help shape my influence. My first experience with digital media started at Volcano VistaHigh School. Registering as an incoming freshman, I wanted to become a photographer. I distinctly remember registering for photography class, but I was stuck with digital media as an alternative. I like to joke that it was either destiny that put me in that class, or a huge mistake. Nonetheless, I instantly fell in love with digital media. My teacher, Jan Sherer, provided me with equipment and software to be able to learn the basics of digital media. Although she was unpopular by most students in her class, I always considered her a mentor. By senior year, I became proficient in most adobe products such as Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition. I also learned different camera techniques thanks to her teachings. She also entrusted me with a cameraman job for the schools daily morning...show more content... I am currently holding an internship with Moji studios, and a couple of my coworkers have graduated under IFDM. What I've noticed with IFDM graduates is that their level of skills in the field they specialize in is astounding. Furthermore, graduates of IFDM have a higher chance of finding a career, or so I hear. I would love to take this program so that I can find my specialty in digital media, and mature those skills to a professional level. I know IFDM can provide me with the tools that I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Summer Program Application Essay The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become ...show more content... I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Admission Essay For College Application I am a product of the American dream, my family has gone from moving around dangerous neighborhoods and relying on my grandparents for food to working in fantastic positions and sending three kids to college to pursue advanced professional degrees. I have experienced life from both sides of the economic tracks. My life has made me open–minded and extremely independent. Being part of my family has motivated me to always look for challenges. In the coming spring, after I defend my thesis and graduate early in December, I am planning to solo hike the Appalachian trail. A trek of 2,190 miles over the course of four or five months will provide me with the solitude and time for thinking that I will need to prepare for my next phase of life. I look forward to the daily mental and physical challenges that living on the trail will...show more content... Remaining multidimensional by participating in multiple research areas and diversifying my interests has given me skills in molecular biology, sociomedical research, and management of people. The potential of furthering the development of my abilities in the outstanding atmosphere of scholarship and community at Jefferson represents a tremendous opportunity. Attending medicalschool in Philadelphia has always been a dream. As an anatomy lab partner with an incoming medical student, I have only heard positive things about Jefferson and the school's process of helping students transition to living in center city Philadelphia. I am particularly excited about attending Jefferson because of the exciting new patient–centered curriculum. The focus on interpersonal skills and developing relationships will certainly be appreciated by graduates and patients treated by Sidney Kimmel Medical School alumni. During my time spent shadowing, I observed the most apparent difference between medical students, residents, and attendings was their respective abilities to navigate the social aspects of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Carnegie Mellon University Admission Essay I strongly believe that Carnegie Mellon University is teaching and engaging with people who improve the lives through technologies, and who have taken the responsibility of what happens in the rest of the century. The university's emphasis on the new–age technology in STEM fields, offering opportunities to work on projects that unite multiple disciplines with an integrative approach, fascinates me. I want to learn, create, and innovate at CMU, Pittsburgh with a 'Major' in Computer Science at the School of Computer Science, in the University. My love for computers started in the middle school when I learned the programming language 'Logo.' Simple commands would make the 'turtle' move forward, backward, or go round in circles. It was gratifying...show more content... Not a single day passes when I do not explore the University's website. In my dreams, I am already there. As I walk through the gates on the Forbes Avenue, I feel at home. I can see myself picking a book from the Librarian Jessica Benner and sitting cross–legged, reading on the steps of The Engineering and Science Library, Designing and launching my Robot while working under Martial Hebert, taking time off to eat at Schatz in the Cohon University Center. Walk the 'Cut' and check the Fence. Study and learn the basics under the internationally renowned faculty. Attend presentations by eminent speakers. Talk to the fellow students, and explore the Pittsburgh City. Further, with the university's expansive network of global educational opportunities, which includes the satellite campus in Qatar, I wish to make use of the study abroad program to spend one or two semesters, here in Qatar. That will allow me to spare some time with my family while I continue to study my course. Moreover, a safe and secure campus is a good reassurance to a girl student. That, coupled with the university's stand as a leading institution for women in computer science, makes my ambition stronger to join CMU, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. College Admissions Essay: The MIT Application In the MIT application, we're not looking for one long, highly–polished essay. Instead, interspersed throughout the application will be short answer questions designed to help us get to know you. Just be yourself. We know you lead a busy life, full of activities, many of which are required of you. Tell us about something you do for the pleasure of it. (*)(100 words or fewer) A jounrey ofa thousand miles begins with a single step. Many years back, I took that very first step when I decided to run, and a thousand miles later, I am still running. Litorally. Ive done the math. Now some people say they love running because "running is fun" and that they "feel great when running." Those people are liars. Running is painful, demanding, and draining. I run because after balancing multiple AP classes, family responsibilities, other extracurriculars and a social life, i need an outlet for stress, and the best one i've found is pouring that frustration into five miles of hard pavement. I run so that I can look at myself in the...show more content... I want to go to MIT for their school of Engineering. Shocking I know. And I want to major incomputer science nonetheless. Okay that's enough of the sarcasm, even I'm getting sick of it by now. But why? Well for one it MIT is on the top of pretty much every list when it comes to technical schools. But also because the computer science course is in the school of engineering. Now they say you should know what you know and know what you don't know. We'll I'm an eighteen year old kid that has no problem admitting that I am not certain about what I want to do the rest of my life. I feel a strong pull towards engineering. My ......... engineer aunts uncle and cousins have given me that. But it would be a comfort to know that if computer science is not the course for me, I am already in the school of Engineering, and can find something that I do enjoy and can excellent Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Undergraduate Admission Essay Undergraduate Admissions Department of interest: Industrial design I'm drawn to design because it is everywhere and has the potential to affect so much of how people feel about a certain space or about an experience. From a young age, I was fortunate to be exposed to art; my parents would constantly take my brother and me to museums and galleries and at home, my grandmother would teach me skills such as crocheting, needlepoint and how to replicate food out of playdough. In both elementary school and middle school I drew and created little things such as bookmarks and stuffed animals, but I was never known as the "art kid". I loved art and I understood that there was so much potential to create something original and to express an idea, but I just didn't understand how. Early eighth grade I found out about ...show more content... I ended up teaching myself Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop so I could make my assignments live up to the standard I had set for myself. Later that same year I got a chance to work with new materials and discovered an interest in sculpture. I enjoyed the process of learning the potential of different materials and the problem solving it takes to make what I had decided I am going to make. Where I had previously liked graphic design best, I realized that I found a different kind of satisfaction from physically creating an object. The final step that inspired my realization, was a communications class in which, one of the projects was to invent a product and create a print ad for it. While doing this project, it all clicked for me. I ended up creating way more material for the product than was required because I got sucked into the world that I created for it, fantasizing about packaging and display and consistent branding. It combined everything I liked: graphic design, new materials, 3D elements and for me all this pointed to industrial Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 13. College Essay : My Journey To College My trip to graduation What has my journey to graduation been like for me? My journey has been a crazy, fun–filled learning adventure. I met many goals and accomplishments I set for myself but I also faced some challenges on the way. For example, I finally met my goal of graduating with a 4.6 GPA and maintaining it. Also, I accomplished completing my last four years of grade school and now I am on the way to college. My last year has been interesting and there are many goals, accomplishments and challenges I can reflect on. To begin with, I finally made it! I am now sitting in my seat in the Ted Constant Center and I am about to walk across the stage. It feels like it took forever for this moment to come but I am here and I feel like I am on top of the world. I can see my mother sitting in her seat with tears pouring out of eyes because she knows that that I am about to walk across the stage and start the next stage of my life. It was a long and hard journey but my goals I had set for myself were a constant push that I could do it. As a matter of fact, one goal I met was to get into one of the three colleges I applied to and I did. I am ecstatic to say that I am going to be a freshman at George Mason University this following school year. Not to mention that I also received a numerous amount of scholarships and grants. On top of that, this school year the color guard got Grand Champions at a completion we participated in in North Carolina. I was super excited when they announced us as Grand Champions because we had a lot of setbacks during the season. Such as, not having an instructor to teach us the work and having to learn the work from YouTube to having to stay late after the other kids left so we could learn our week for our show to practicing in the rain. We worked really hard this season and for us to be announced as Grand Champions shows that our hard work payed off. The goals I set for myself were met and I couldn't be any happier. Even though I met my goals this past year, I also faced some challenges. Such as, trying to not stress out from the amount of homework, tests, and quizzes, trying to not worry about my future and what is going to happen and balancing my friendships. I felt like crying so Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 15. Sample Admission Essay For College "I got in!!" I screamed running around my house on December 15,2017. I couldn't believe it. I had got into my dream school and was ready to commit until I finally read the the tiny white words, "Undeclared: Division of General Studies", underneath the heading "Janiya, You're an Illini!" The elated feeling I had evaporated just as quickly as it came. Those words told me that although I had became an Illini, I was not admitted into either one of my majors. I debated for months whether or not to write this appeal. I could not believe the decision for the longest. Then, I started looking at myself. The college of engineering is extremely selective with a middle 50% ACT score of 31–34. I was just outside that mark by 3 little points. My extracurriculars...show more content... Matter of fact, I did not know much about either major until my junior year. But once I found more about these majors I could not see myself doing anything else with my life. I craved to know how and why things worked within each major. I know that looking at my ACT score, an admission board would only see the glaring issue: my math and science ACT scores. These scores are not a fair representation of what I can do. I have always excelled in math and science even going as far as being a year ahead in math. The ACT does not represent the person and student I am. Between my first ACT and my second, I was able to improve my own score by three points with just a twenty dollar book and a calculator (for some parts at least). That is the student that I am. One who is willing to admit their mistakes and work hard to fix them. I know for a fact that transferring into Computer Science or Electrical Engineering will be next to impossible if I do not go into the university majoring in either and I really want to attend this outstanding university. If given the chance, I intend to excel at every given chance. I plan to make sure that those who have given me the chance to prove that I am better than my ACT score don't regret the decision they Get more content on HelpWriting.net
