This document provides an overview of factors to consider when deciding whether to pursue graduate school, how to choose a graduate program, and tips for applying. It recommends determining if graduate school aligns with career goals and interests, researching programs based on faculty, curriculum, location and cost, and starting the application process early by preparing materials like letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and taking standardized tests. Strong applications consider fit between the applicant and program as well as academic qualifications like GPA and test scores.
This document provides suggestions from a personnel committee on preparing materials for reappointment, tenure, and promotion. It emphasizes documenting both the quantity and quality of one's achievements and activities. It advises writing narratives in a way that non-education people can understand accomplishments and importance of organizations. While not required, acceptance rates for conference presentations and publications carry weight. Means of means for student evaluations are generally not favored, but can be included in tables. The narrative should discuss the importance of service activities. Under service, one must advise graduate students or work with in-service teachers, providing specifics on quantity and quality of that work.
The document outlines indicators and data collection for monitoring an ACE project in Cameroon. It includes 10 indicators to track outcomes related to student enrollment, accredited education programs, research publications, partnerships, and governance. For each indicator, critical data needed is defined. It also provides the results framework showing baseline values and cumulative targets for indicators over 4 years. As of October 2014, some targets were met or exceeded while others had variances requiring explanation in comments.
NEF1103 – Engineering and the Community Assignment 3
Assignment 3 – Team Project Report
Engineers without Borders 2015 Project
1.0 Assignment Description
Reignite Action for Development (RAfD) is focused on empowering rural African communities to break out
of the poverty cycle. The Engineers without Borders (EWB) Challenge is an Australasian design program
that provides first-year university students with the opportunity to learn about design, sustainable development,
teamwork, and communication, while contributing towards real international development projects [1].
In 2015, EWB has partnered with RAfD and identified a range of areas for growth within the district of
Bambui in Cameroon. The recent construction of a new university is causing rapid urbanization in the rural
Bambui community and increasing the pressure on the existing water supply, sanitation, water management,
and available housing facilities. They are now inviting students to use their problem solving and design skills to
develop innovative and appropriate project solutions to make a real contribution towards the sustainable
development of the rural Bambui community. You will be required to work in teams of 4 to 5 on the identified
projects areas. More information could be located on http://www.ewbchallenge.org/reignite [2].
Nine design areas have been identified by EWB and RAfD. Several project ideas are being suggested for each
design area [3, 4]. Your team is required to identify a design area and choose one of the suggested projects with
a sustainability focus and work towards designing a solution to that problem. Please refer to the EWB website
for more detailed information about each project, design requirements, as well as other supporting resources.
Your design proposal satisfying all the EWB design considerations and reporting requirements should be
documented in a team report and submitted by Friday, Week 11.
After your work is assessed and reviewed this semester, you may be given the opportunity to continue working
on this EWB project during the first six weeks of Semester 2 in NEF1204. Two high quality reports detailing
exceptional quality work will be officially sent to the EWB competition to compete against the work of other
students’ from other Universities. If your team’s report scores highly, you will move onto the regional and then
national showcases, where you will have the opportunity to present your reports to members of the EWB.
2.0 Deliverable
On the completion of this problem, your team will have produced a single hardcopy team report. The report
should be about 5000 words, word processed with correct spelling, grammar, and referencing employed. The
report is due Friday, Week 11. Individuals must indicate which sections they were responsible for in the team
report by marking their initials in the Contents .

The study, sponsored by the University Grants Commission and financed by the World Bank, will evaluate major aspects of governance, curriculum, pedagogy, teaching resources, learning assessment, processes, student selection, facilities, staff recruitment, student support, and research through surveys of key stakeholders - employers, alumni, students, and staff. A random sample of 300 respondents will be selected to collect primary data through structured questionnaires. The results will identify lessons learned and recommend ways to improve the Faculty of Business.
This document is a worksheet for a work and employability portfolio. It includes sections for the student to document completion of four parts of the portfolio: career focus tasks and interview reflection, a LinkedIn profile, an ePortfolio, and a written report. The student must also agree to an academic integrity declaration. The worksheet requires the student to provide basic identifying information and ensure links to the various portfolio components. It provides specifications and requirements for what must be included in each part, with space for tutor feedback on each submitted component.
The document provides guidance for applying for Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). It outlines the main evidence requirements, which are an Account of Professional Practice (APP) and two referee statements. The APP should be a reflective commentary addressing the five Areas of Activity in the UK Professional Standards Framework at Descriptor 2, including examples of practice. It gives tips for structuring the APP and addressing each Area of Activity in 600 words, with an overall limit of 3,000 words. Referees should comment on the applicant's suitability for Fellowship based on their professional practice relating to teaching and learning support in higher education.
The document outlines an ISB Leadership Program that aims to support students' career orientation and preparation for jobs in multinational organizations. It describes 3 levels of the program focused on finding career direction, discovering potentials, and showcasing talents. Key elements include activities, evaluations, and tools to help students develop necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for their career goals.
This document discusses the differences between course evaluation/grading and program assessment. Course evaluation focuses on measuring course learning outcomes through various assignments, while program assessment measures program learning outcomes through signature assignments across multiple courses. Signature assignments must be consistent and use standardized rubrics to allow aggregation of data to assess program-level outcomes. Program assessment is conducted annually through a Program Annual Report and every five years through a comprehensive program review to evaluate student learning and identify areas for improvement.

RTM 470 Group Assignment Instructions
1. THE BRIEF (Scope of Work):
In keeping with SDSUs commitment to sustainability, your tourism consulting business (3 - 6 team members) has been contracted to design a sustainable tour targeting SDSU students. The tour is to have the central theme of sustainability and principles of sustainable tourism should be reflected at every stage, in each component, and in every management decision made about the tour’s destination, design, and inclusions.
The experience should be a) personally meaningful for students, b) fun, c) an opportunity for students to learn about sustainability, local cultures, and environments, d) safe, and e) financially viable. At least one of your team should lead the students on the trip. This means that the cost of travel (including accommodation & food) for this team member as well as that team member’s pay for each day they are on the trip (you can determine an appropriate pay rate) should be built into the over all cost and passed on to your customers. In addition, the trip should yield at least 15% profit to your business.
These are the only criteria imposed. The remaining components of the tour including (but not limited to) duration, group size, destination(s), activities, and cost are to be determined by your group based on market research. The decisions you make in designing your tour should be based on and linked to the results of market research and the need to reflect the principles of sustainable tourism at every stage.
2. DELIVERABLES:
The deliverables for this assignment consist of two written reports, a presentation in front of the class, and a peer assessment of each member’s contribution to each written report. Your individual grade will be influenced by the peer review of your team members. Reports must be fully referenced using the APA style of referencing. If you don’t know what this is, find out – and APA referencing guide is available on Blackboard and can be very easily googled. Failure to provide adequate referencing will severely impact your grade.
· The first report is the Market Research Report. This involves conducting primary (collecting and analyzing your own data) and secondary market research (reporting on existing research). Based on your review of existing research, and an analysis of the primary data you collect, the report will recommend a destination country/region, group size, trip timing, types of activities to be included, cost etc. This report should not contain specific details of the tour itself or a destination profile – this comes in the final report.
· The second and Final Report provides a profile of the selected destination and details the itinerary of a fully costed tour based on ‘The Brief’ (see section 1. Above) and the recommendations of the market research report.
· The Group Presentation takes the form of your team ‘pitching’ your tour to the class highlighting elements that your market research showed to be important (e.g ...
1. To be qualified to deliver accredited training in Australia, one must have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and relevant industry experience. Staying current is important through continuing practice, networking, and involvement in industry bodies.
2. When developing a training program, the unit of competency guide from training.gov.au must be consulted to understand requirements and develop a proper assessment tool. The tool includes a program, student guide, and assessable tasks addressing requirements.
3. After developing the tool, the assessments should be contextualized to the relevant industry, candidate level should be considered, and guides for students and instructors should be created documenting the program and assessment of skills.

Purpose
The Radford University Fraternity and Sorority Standards of Excellence (SOE) Assessment process is designed
to provide an objective appraisal of a chapter’s performance and to honor outstanding chapter achievement.
It will help to assist chapters in achieving the highest level of excellence possible in programming and chapter
management. It is not designed as a competition, but rather a challenge for each chapter to improve both
programming and overall operations. Participation in SOE’s gives each chapter an opportunity to have its
programs evaluated by Radford University’s Faculty/Staff and be provided written and verbal feedback to help
each chapter shine in excellence. This application will assist chapters in preparing for the assessment and
awards process that all see at a state, regional, and national/international level.
This is a two part process composed of a Binder and Formal Presentation. It is each chapter’s requirement
and responsibility to document their answers for each of the categories being judged.
BINDER
Self-Assessment
Chapters will be asked to complete a self-assessment. This self-assessment provides each chapter the
opportunity to be engaged in the assessment and awards process. As a chapter you will be required to reflect
on the past year, identify areas of strength and the need for improvement, and develop strategies to continue
to enhance each organization’s achievements and contributions to the community. There are 640 points
possible in the Binder portion including the Self-Assessment which has 6 areas of standards: Scholarship,
Leadership, Community Involvement & Fraternalism, Chapter Operations, Community Service, and
Philanthropy.
Documentation
Chapters are encouraged to us the binders in the Greek Life Office Library for compiling and displaying the
relevant documentation for each section of the self-assessment process. Remember it is your responsibility to
PROVE IT, through your documentation. Don’t assume the judges know anything about your organization or
what you’ve accomplished over the past year. Be specific and detailed in your documentation. FOLLOW THE
INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY, points will NOT be awarded otherwise.
FORMAL PRESENTATION
Each chapter must also create a presentation on their chapter that includes evidence of excellence in each of
the six areas of standards. The presentation can be anything the chapter desires, visual aids are strongly
encouraged but are not required. Be creative. The interview/presentation will be 20 minutes in length,
including the showing of a 5-15 minute presentation. Use your personality and show us what your
organization is all about in a creative way. During the remaining five minutes, the judges will ask the chapter
members questions about their activities and successes during the academic year.
How to Prepare for Presentation
Chapters should use the included Fraternity/Sorority Assessment & Awards Study Guide as a framework for
their conversation with judges. It is suggested that you have a slide for each section highlighting the parts
your chapter is most proud of and desires to work on in the future. Presentation tips for the interview are
listed below.

PRESENTATION TIPS
Who should be Your Chapter’s Representative at the Presentation?
Officers or chairs that have the most knowledge regarding the chapter’s involvement in the specific
awards area are encouraged to attend the application interview. We suggest that you have at least one
new member that is a sophomore, one junior and one graduating senior attend the
Interview/Presentation.
What to Bring to the Presentation?
Since this is an interview, each present member of your organization should be dressed professionally.
You will need to bring your chapter’s self-assessment study guide to use as a framework for
conversation with the judges. You will also need for your presentation to be saved onto a portable
jump drive if you are using PowerPoint or playing a video.
What to Expect During the Presentation?
The judges will provide you with feedback during your interview. This immediate feedback should give
you clarity about the areas in which your organization is doing well and those that may need
improvement. They will also be sending the Greek Life Office a completed form with written feedback
that will be provided to you upon completion of the Assessment and Awards Program. This feedback
should be used as your chapter evaluates progress and sets goals for the next year.
