Staff at Cranford Community College were surveyed about installing an environmentally-themed sculpture on campus. 11 out of 12 staff thought the college was wasting energy. For the sculpture, 4 people each suggested an energy-wasting fountain or on/off light bulb. Most respondents wanted the sculpture made from recycled materials like cans, boxes, glass, paper, and metal. The front of the school was deemed the best location for the sculpture by 5 people. Most respondents were aware of other sculptures on campus and wanted the new sculpture to be large with bright colors.
