No computers in schools,  they were being used but were VERY expensive Overhead Projectors Watched film strips We watched TV with “ bunny ears”  when the Challenger exploded
Everyone had a desktop computer at home.  Laptops were cumbersome and few had them Received lectures with PowerPoint projected on a screen
Laptop carts Computer lab Portable SmartBoards with a digital projector They were large and took up a lot of classroom space Document projector Online streaming of videos 2 desktops in the classroom
My elementary school opened its first computer lab in the 4 th  grade, we used floppy disks My Father developed software for IBM and he taught the students and teachers how to use them
Skype- to interview professionals, meet students from other countries, and take virtual field trips.
Tablets for each student that interacts with a central teacher’s tablet providing immediate feedback and re-teaching opportunity
