aspect of the piece is acting. Bilbo is stiff, and white he is in the act of taking the mail out of the
mailbox, he breaks the fourth wall by looking at the viewer. It would be more successful acting if
he was looking at the action he was performing.
The strongest aspect of this piece is line direction. In the water they encircle the action, and in the
rocks they lead the viewer down into the water. They also aid in the creation of texture, rhythm,
pattern, and framing. The texture created by the lines in the water reflect ripples that would
actually occur in the real world.

This is no exception in the book Divergent. The society in Divergent split into five distinct factions
known as Candor, Abnegation, Dauntless, Amity, and Erudite. From this information, one can infer
the worldview depicted in this novel is that one choice defines who a person is forever. This
worldview is seen all throughout the book, due to the author s focus on choice. The characters are
forced to choose which faction they wish to reside in, thus possibly leaving all that they
previously had known and grown accustomed to. This reality is brutally true for Beatrice Prior

The Song Structure And Analysis Of Mystery Song 3
At first listen, Mystery Song Three was unlike anything I had ever heard. I knew it was loud, I
knew it was aggressive, and that was about it. We were challenged with analyzing a mystery
song by defining its structure, basic description, expression, and historical and cultural context.
Even without knowing anything about the song, you can find these elements just by listening
to it. 2. Song Structure A song s structure can be best described as its organization. I found that
Mystery Song Three is a ABABC modified verse chorus form. This means there was five vocal
sections with three different types of sections A the verse, B the chorus, C the conclusion. For
clarification I have named each of the five vocal sections as follows: vocal section 1 A1, vocal
section 2 B1, vocal section 3 A2, vocal section 4 B2, vocal section 5 C. The song began with an
instrumental introduction. At first, there was only the cymbals playing but very quickly the
texture thickened when guitar and drums came in. These were both aggressive and fast paced.
Section A1 was the first verse section of the song. Since this was the first time that the vocalist
came in we learned that the vocalist was male with a rough sound and midrange voice. The
instrumentation of this section featured a repeating guitar riff and drum sounds. Overall, this
section had an angry sound emphasized with swear words and angry lyrics, had a heavy texture
created by the guitar and drums, and had a fast tempo. This section was then followed by an
instrumental section to create a transition from A1 to B1. Section B1 was the first chorus. This
section also featured a fast tempo, aggressive guitar part, and percussion. However, this section had
slower vocals than A1. Additionally, new vocal techniques were used such as blues influenced
slides on the lyric No . Also the rhythm changed which emphasized the lyric burnt in to my skin to
further relate the anger in the song. After another instrumental break, A2 verse began. The melody
of A1 repeats with a very similar instrumental part. However, the lyrics from A1 are different, and a

By looking at the cover of the comic Captain America, a reader could project themselves into the
character of Captain America through his bravery, heroism, and patriotism. Captain America is a
larger than life character because he is a superhero and has superhuman abilities. Within his story
he is a character that fights for America and is looked upon as a role model and the protector of
America. On the cover of the Captain Americacomic book, Captain America is shown charging
forward, shield in hand, punching Adolf Hitler in the face. He is surrounded and outnumbered by
Nazi soldiers who are actively shooting at him, though their efforts are in vain because the bullets

The nighttime environment of the background is dark and ominous and allows the reader to
imagine the story taking place in this cemetery setting. It is not easy to tell whether the man is
getting dragged in the grave or the zombie suddenly popped out of the ground and grabbed him,
but it is up to the reader s imagination to decide what happened next. The font of the text appears
to be melting and dripping and resembles the sagging foliage on the trees in the scene below,
adding to the creepiness of the visual elements on the cover. The additional strange looking
characters in the column on the left invites the reader to wonder about how the role they play in
the other titles of the stories. All of these elements come together to draw the reader into a
fantasy world of grotesque horror and terror. For the reader, escaping into a world of macabre
monsters can be a way to get away from their safe and structured everyday lives. In a world
where monsters are real, there can be comfort in knowing that there is a way to physically kill
your fears and overcome them, whereas in the real world, our fears are oftentimes
psychological. When we read comics or graphic novels, the stories and characters are much
more appealing if we can identify with them in some way. One graphic novel that several people
might relate to due to it taking place in a real period of history is Maus: A Survivor s Tale. On
the cover of the first volume of the graphic novel, two mice are shown huddled together with
their backs against a wall. The symbol for the Nazi party looms behind him with the face of a cat
pasted over it. On the cover of the second volume, several mice are depicted behind barbed wire

Plato The Shackles
In Book 1 of Plato s The Republic, Socrates asks Cephalus about the difficulty of old age, as
Cephalus has reached the threshold of death and is therefore suited to speak upon age. Cephalus
explains that older people tend to be more peaceful because youthful desires like sex, partying, and
drinking constrain many people to temporal pleasure, but age releases them from those shackles.
These youthful desires are later treated as shackles that constrain many people to temporal
pleasures. By introducing these metaphorical shackles in the first discussion of The Republic, Plato
foreshadows and parallels the cave allegory that appears in Book 7 (Plato 3). In the cave
allegory, people are chained inside a cave and their knowledge is limited to only what they can

the house seem as though the appearance is of more importance than the comfort. The house is said
to be huge, ugly, and show offish, and through a child s eyes there is the questioning of why the

Bunny by Lisa McCue, Quiet Bunny learns to find his voice through a series of trial and error.
Finding one s own special uniqueness is a step toward finding oneself. There are many different
ways to achieve personal enlightenment, including talking to trusted family and friends, not
trying to mimic others, and being proud of oneself. In Heather Henson s novel Dream of Night,
Shiloh finds her own personality with the help of a very special horse. Shiloh is a hardened
foster child who meets an old and abused racehorse. Her relationship with the racehorse changes

Pandemonium, by Lauren Oliver, is a fiction book. It s a relatable story about a young girl trying

3) book. It doesn t stretch your mind as much as some teachers would like a summer book to do.
Even though this is a book for younger people, it is still a terrific choice for a summer read.

Introduction
San Bernardino City Unified School District houses one of the largest populations for students
with moderate to severe disabilities within the Inland Empire. Over the past decade San
Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) has sustained an influx of students who
qualify for a moderate to severe special day classroom (SDC) setting and special education services.
Effectively educating youth with moderate to severe disabilities is not a simplex task, as it requires
multifaceted skillsets involving various special education professionals. Developing and executing a
service delivery model that targets student s individual needs, while simultaneously supporting
students in strides towards life long goals is crucial. Carmack Elementary is one of fifty two
elementary schools within SBCUSD that only provides educational services to students with
moderate to severe disabilities grades kindergarten through sixth. The community surrounding
Carmack Elementary has been deemed high poverty, indicating a vast majority of students who
attend Carmack are presumed as low income status. Lastly, a vast majority of students who attend
Carmack Elementary qualify for the free and reduced meal program offered through the district.
Program Description
The service delivery model offered at Carmack Elementary is unique when compared to other
service delivery models pertaining to students with moderate to severe disabilities within SBCUSD.

The Girls Are Considered Outcasts
Three hundred girls are considered outcasts every year. They re shipped off into an unknown
area to most people. The girls are only eleven and they re taken away from their families. Their
families are the ones that want them gone. I boarded the cruise ship and I walked in the suite.
There were a huge group of boys walking around. The cruise shipis very warm and it s very cozy.
The boarding event takes about three hours. The girls have to line up and they have to get a
baggage check. I can t wait to go on this journey. I just feel unloved by my parents. The boys are
there to help the girls.
They re outcasts too, but they re much older than the girls. They re either sixteen or seventeen.
There s a front desk and the workers used their computers. The workers are boys and they make
sure the girls are ok. It s been two hours since the boarding event started. I reached my room and it
was a luxury suite. I shared the room with another girl. Her name is Bailey Holland. Her dad is rich

2017), an appropriate situation is one where a patient has acute urinary retention or bladder
obstruction, whereas an inappropriate situation is one where a catheter is being used a means of
obtaining urine for culture when the patient can voluntarily void. Nurses can also use basic
techniques like palpation, percussion, and inspection to effectively assess urinary retention, which

e) What the ebu gogo looked like (brief description): Based on a majority consensus of
informants, the ebu gogo could be identified as either a primitive human form or a large non
human primate. Additionally, most individuals described the ebu gogo as shorter than the average
Ua villager, vigorous in stature, and mostly vegetarian in diet (each of these distinctions was
disputed by at least one other informant). Their limbs were held to be of average size (i.e. human
proportions) and two informants detailed their small foot size. Everyone interviewed by the author
agreed that the ebu gogo stood upright and walked on two feet. In terms of their facial features,
many Nage people described them either as monkeys or extremely ugly humans. They were
described as having flat/wide noses and large human like eyes and ears (although these points are
also disputed). Along with having a large mouth (for swallowing), the teeth of the ebu gogo were
