A world leader in researching childhood cancer and other
illnesses that impact children around the world, St. Jude has
increasingly focused on the role of genes and the human
genome in cancer, particularly over the last five years.

3.  Researchers have compared the complete genomes
from more than 800 patients, looking at patterns in
both normal and cancerous cells. They have managed
to identify the specific genetic factors that contribute to
pediatric cancer and are building on these discoveries
to learn even more about cancer genomes.
