2. His
childhood
St. Patrick was born in 390 in Britannia. He
was 16 captured by Irish pagan pirates.
He was then sold as a slave to a farmer
in county Athlone. He there worked as a
Sheppard for six years. And then
escaped and took a boat to France to
become a priest.
3. His life in
Ireland
After studying to become a priest He had a
dream that the Irish people were calling
him back to Ireland. He then took a boat
back to Ireland and spent the next 28 years
travelling the countryside spreading the
word of God. At first the pope would not
allow Patrick to go to Ireland because one
man went before him and they did not
really like him. But he then left for Ireland.
He used a shamrock to explain God to
every one else. He died in 460 AD in.
