HIV/AIDS… Will it ever be
       curable?

    By: Kristyn Norton
Statistics
• About 1.7 million people die every year
  from Aids.
• It will cost someone with Aids
  approximately 600,000 dollars for proper
  lifetime care.
• The average lifespan for someone with
  aids is about 24 years.
Financial Impact

 The financial impact can be
very large. The treatment can
be very expansive and many
   people with Aids cannot
   afford to pay the prices.
3 Causes for AIDS

• Blood to blood contact with an infected person,
  *sharing needles for drug use*.

• A woman can give it to her baby during birth or
when nursing if she is infected.

• Unprotected sex with an infected person

* Transmission of Aids through blood transfusion is very
rare these days because all donated blood is tested
  before use.
Location/ Map

The worst cases of Aids can be
found in the Sub- Saharan Africa,
but you can find Aids everywhere
           in the world.

enters Africa between 1884 and 1924.
-HIV probably enters Haiti around 1966.
-1981 AIDS is detected in California and New
                      York.
-1982 AIDS is reported among hemophiliacs

My Solution

The government could put more money
toward AIDS prevention and AIDS treatment.
My idea would help find a cure for AIDS
    eventually because with more money
        researches could do more.
