2) The DEAR project has the goal of raising awareness about sustainable development and renewable energy among pupils, students, teachers, and decision makers in 6 European countries.
3) The visiting students described their project activities which included visiting biogas and wooden pellet plants as well as homes heated by renewable energy sources.

While visiting the Dominican Republic in 2009, the speaker faced a lifelong fear of parrots and was able to take photos with some, feeling proud to have overcome their fears.
