This dissertation examines the dynamics, control, and design of underwater gliders. It develops a first principles model of glider dynamics including hydrodynamic forces, buoyancy effects, and the coupling between glider and internal masses. The glider model is applied to analyze gliding equilibria and stability in longitudinal and 3D motions. Experimental data from a Slocum glider is used to identify model parameters and validate the model. The dissertation contributes to understanding and improving glider performance through modeling, analysis, and control design.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.
The document describes a specialized tracking system for field operations consisting of:
1) Miniature tracking units placed on soldiers/agents and vehicles to monitor their location.
2) Command and control stations like laptops and smartphones to view locations on maps and remotely control the tracking units.
3) Different tracking unit models ranging from wearable and vehicle-mounted units for various field operation types like military, law enforcement, and covert missions.

The VFN provides brands the association with athletes in a non-traditional endorsement deal. Just as an advertiser would purchase ad placement within a sports site the advertiser can purchase placement within the athlete's Virtual Fan Card. The Fan Card is a rich, interactive unit that has engaging athlete and brand content for consumer consumption. The Fan Cards are placed within relevant sites as ads to deliver the desired audience that said advertiser is looking to reach. The difference from placing a standard ad and a Fan Card on sites is that the athlete content catches the users eye and delivers higher levels of brand engagement.

- In the second week, the author met with coworkers to learn about their roles in information technology, training development, and participated in laptop maintenance. They also began converting a PowerPoint into an e-learning module.
- The third week focused on project management and meeting deadlines, including collaborating on materials for an upcoming executive event and revealing a new tabletop training project.
