Leizhan technologies for dissolving pulp production
Demands for environmentally friendly fiber sources have dramatically increased
the interest in utilizing dissolving pulp, particularly in textile processes.

2. Leizhan has a cost-effective approach to dissolving pulp production that
includes a new continuous auto-hydrolysis cooking process coupled with efficient
washers and other proven downstream pulp processing equipment.

consistent pulp quality.
The solution
Leizhan technology for the production of dissolving pulp is based on many years
of experience with chemical pulp fiberlines and intensive on high alpha-
cellulose dissolving pulp grades. Our experience with biofuels has further led
us to design the system with special features considering the optimal methods
for by-product recovery and reutilization.
Many of the existing Leizhan process technologies used in chemical pulping are
already suitable for dissolving pulp production. For this reason, existing
chemical pulp lines can easily be converted to the production of dissolving pulp
with only minor modifications to the existing wood processing equipment,
fiberline, drying plant, and evaporators.

Screening systems are used in various phases of stock preparation and
papermaking for all kinds of furnish. They remove unwanted material like shives
and splinters, fiber bundles, sand, stickies and plastics. The production
capacities is from 10 to over1000 tons/day. The tasks of the screening system
can vary, with the focus on maximum stickies and trash removal, minimal fiber
loss, system monitoring and protection, etc.
The purpose of fractionation is to separate the stock fibers according to
various characteristics, such as long and short fibers and stiff and flexible
fibers. Depending on requirements, each fraction is then used directly for
papermaking or undergoes further treatment.
EclipseRotor
High screening performance with reduced energy inputs
Because of its novel foil geometry and configuration, the EclipseRotor?
facilitates optimal screening efficiency, especially in screening applications
that are heavily loaded with impurities.
In a DIP facility, using an EclipseRotor for hole screening reduced the energy
input by 25 while improving screening efficiency by 33. The flat but effective
foil geometry of the EclipseRotor generates a strong suction impulse and keeps
the screen free for the highest throughput, even with high pulp consistencies of

The EclipseRotor was developed specifically for screening applications that are
energy-intensive and heavily loaded with impurities. It is suitable for use in
stock preparation, broke and pulp screening by Leizhan screens and for all
centrifugally operated pressure screens from third-party providers.
