2016년 4월 27일, NDC2016 발표자료입니다. 전통적인 콘텐츠 생산은 기획자, 개발자가 하나하나 컨트롤해야 하는 노동집약적 산업입니다. 저 또한 처음에 입사했을 때 출시를 위해 며칠 만에 이백여 개가 넘는 맵을 찍어야 했던 아픔이 있습니다. 그 뒤에도 플레이어들을 위한 콘텐츠 생산은 계속되었지만, 플레이어들의 콘텐츠 소비 속도는 생산 속도를 뛰어넘은 지 오래되었습니다. 대안은 로그라이크 같은 장르에서 널리 쓰이는 Procedural Contents Generation이라고 생각합니다. 외국 인디 씬에서는 이미 많이 사용되고 있는 이 방법에 최근 점점 더 많이 사용되고 있는 신경망을 활용해서 색다른 콘텐츠 생산 기법을 소개하려 합니다.

For many users, GeoServer is only used to serve rendered map images, but in this workshop, attendees will learn about some of the features that GeoServer that are often overlooked. In an increasingly agile world, waiting 10+ minutes for test results is a huge no-no. A new generation of browser automation tools recognize that need-for-speed and enable frontend developers to quickly automate their browser tests. But those tests also need to check the application’s visual elements. Does the login page look OK? Does it look good in Firefox? What about mobile browsers, in 768px width? And does it still look good in 455px with a device pixel ratio of 2? To check the visual quality of your application, across all browsers and in all those responsive widths, would necessitate a humongous grid of browsers, and an unreasonable amount of time. Far more than the 2-5 minutes usually available for a developer’s tests. Applitools’ new Storybook and Cypress SDKs enable you to do just that: write a set of tests that run through your pages and components, and have the pages and components render in Applitools’ cloud, in parallel, on a large set of browsers and widths, and return the result in less than a minute. Watch Gil Tayar's presentation, as he discusses the new generation of visual testing tools. Tools that move the burden of the visual work to cloud, and enable you to check what was till now impossible to check locally: the visual appearance of your application across all responsive platforms.

This talk teaches you how to best leverage Kubernetes, remote infrastructure and related tooling to create a dev cycle that maximizes velocity and minimizes developer friction and frustration. Using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker and Telepresence, I will walk attendees through several advanced techniques that can be used to produce an effective developer experience and optimized dev loop. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction. This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
