*Acid rain is rain that is more acidic than normal

6. 1.causes:
*Burning coil , oil and nutral GAS
, in power station makes
electricity , giving of Sulphur
dioxide gas.
*burning oil ,petrol in vehicle
engines gives off nitrogen oxides
as gasses.
*industry , transport , domestic ,
electricity generation.

extensive damage to
(building, statues, bridges,
& structural materials of
marble, lime stone, etc).

*Health The sulfur dioxide and
nitrogen oxide gases, causes
respiratory diseases like asthma,
chronic bronchitis, etc.
*Tiny Particles cause difficulty in
breathing for humans and
animals & also lead to
permanent lung damage.

n Acid Rain increases the acidity of lakes & rivers,
which is directly effect the aquatic ecosystem.

11. Solution Of Acid Rain
n Fit scrubbers into factory’s chimneys, which are
chemical filters that remove impurities such as
sulphur from smoke.
n Cars can be fitted with special converters which
remove dangerous chemicals.
n Governments need to spend more money on pollution
control.
n Governments need to invest in researching different
ways to produce energy.
