   Emotional Intelligence and artistic creativity among a
 sample of students from the Faculty of Specific Education
                  Alexandria University

Abstract: -
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence
dimensions, and artistic creativity dimensions, also aimed to attempt to predict
the level of artistic creativity in its various dimensions in a sample of students
in the Faculty of Specific Education, Alexandria University, through their level
of emotional intelligence in its various dimensions, and this study applied on a
sample from (49) student, Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific
Education, Alexandria University, during the first semester of the academic
year 2011/2012, and researchers used measure of emotional intelligence for
university students (prepared by Samia Elansari and Helmy Elfiel, 2009), also

researchers used measure of artistic creativity (preparation Dina Adel Zaky,
2001), The results of the study on the existence of significant relationship
between emotional intelligence and artistic creativity as it hit the correlation
coefficient (0.641), a correlation coefficient statistically significant at the level
of significance (0.01), and the dimensions of emotional intelligence
independent variables combined together explain (8.3%) of the variance in the
dependent variable (fluency), and flexibility with respect to dependent variable,
we find that the dimensions of emotional intelligence independent variables
together explain the combined (30.8%) of the variance in (flexibility), while the
dimensions of emotional intelligence variables independent combined together
explain (33%) of the variance in the dependent variable (originality), the results
of the study also revealed that emotional intelligence as an independent variable
explains (40.9%) of the variance in the dependent variable (artistic creation) in
a sample of students from the Faculty of Specific Education, Alexandria
University.
