오하이오 고자이마스,My name is Rick Jinyoung Jang, I’ve came from Korea Open Source Sw company uEngine, I’m very happy to be here since the weather is so mild than seoul. I want to say thank you for inviting me here so that I can tell you my story today.
Traditional education is courseware oriented. That means only the tutors have the authorship of the contents and the students only take that contents. It is one way, not bi-directional education and learning. Nowadays, As you recently uses facebook and twitter rather than visiting internet portal such as Yahoo. There is no boundary between contents consumer and provider. All the participants are motivated to produce contents and has willing to share his/her valuable lessons. My focus today is, what-if the contents generation eco-system is crucial to success in e-learning, this social network-based approach is very useful for e-learning systems.This image shows normal companies (you may think the company as schools or university), the learner have those difficulties in accessing knowledge and tools overthere. Moreover, sometimes in your company, there’s a firewall between the open knowledge so that you’re not permitted to access the resources outside the company.
This is a sample screenshot of our software. The main layout very resembles to facebook’s one. In the middle of page, there’s a text input for micro-blogging. All users can share their idea, to-do schedule, even their today’s mood. During user input, the tool will recommend contents worth to be attached such as public search engine’s output or internally generated contents the seniors produced before. And in the left-bottom corner, you may organize your social network not only from the internal organization directory to the public friends (just putting e-mail address or you can add from your facebook friends) So that all the activities in this platform can be shared to your real social network, not the restricted by organizational or systemic boundary. On the first idea man’s posting, many friends will be notified and will easily add their feedback by diverse devices including smart-phone to tablet PCs. Lastly, there is a assistance section is provided at the right-hand corner, there are knowledge, calendar and process information on the selected topic.

This tool resembles to mind-map tool and google docs in two points. The analogy to mindmap tool is the topics are organized in a tree-structure so that the topics are easily abstracted and drilled into the detail. And the analogy to the google docs is all the changes of knwledge map can be replicated to all the users. During you are putting texts, the right-hand-corner, such a mashablecotents are recommended to be added to the knowledge map. Youtubevideoes, google images, slideshare slides and so on. Finally, the knowledge map can be converted to a presentation mode so that the learners and workers can use this contents.
