2. Name of Company
The name of our company is:
Transparency Pictures
We chose this name because the definition of Transparency means
how opaque something is when a light is shining through it, which we
think represents the whole idea of film.
3. Name of film
The name of the film is:
INFILTRATOR
The definition of the word is a person who secretly becomes part of a
group in order to get information or to influence the way the group
thinks or behaves.
We chose this name because we feel that it sums up the film’s plot in one word.
4. Character description
SIR JOHN SAWYERS: The head of the
MI6. He is the decision maker and the
man who discovers the mole and their
identity. He takes on the mission of
finding her, however it doesn’t end well
for him.
5. Outline of Film
Our film is based around the MI6, they have found out that
a Soviet Mole has been working within the company and
spying on the MI6’s actions for many years. He can’t even
trust his best staff, so he goes on this mission alone.
At first JOHN’s computer is hacked and comes up with a
message, this is how he discovers the moles existence.
He goes on a mission to find them. Towards the end of the
film the antagonist captures SIR JOHN and makes him
sign a contract declaring his agreement to them taking his
place as the Head of MI6 after he is killed, so now the
antagonist is in control of MI6 and JOHN is the only one
who knows the truth, but he is dead….
6. Our Opening Sequence
● The Opening Sequence will be a chase scene
where the main character, SIR JOHN will be
introduced.
● It will be a preview of the end of the film to
capture the audience’s attention.
● He will be chasing the mole who is dressed in
black and their identity won’t be revealed yet.
● We will use shots that limit the audience’s view
so they don’t have all the information, creating
mystery e.g. low angle shots of feet and close
up shots of eyes.
7. Sequences that influenced
This is an example of a scene that has
inspired us, it is the chase scene from
Casino Royale. This has inspired us
because of the actions of the characters.
In our opening sequence it consists of a
chase scene and this is why this sequence
is good inspiration. Even though we can't
use the setting I think we could interpret
the different types of fast-paced shots into
our sequence.
8. Sequences that influenced
This is a scene from the film Point Break that
has also influenced our ideas for the opening
sequence. It contains an ‘on foot chase
scene’ which is what we plan to contain in
our sequence.
Even though we cannot use cars or special
effects like fire. We like the way that the
chase goes through different settings and
the different shots used in the scene and can
incorporate these into our opening.
9. Target Audience Profile
We are aiming our film mainly at young men aged 15 - 24 but also women.
The young men and women that we are aiming at, particularly enjoy action but also
conspiracy (the idea of trying to figure out what is going to happen in the film.)
We apply this to our film so that we have action in the chase and also conspiracy in
that the person being chased hasn’t been identified as the Mole yet.
10. Questions for the audience
1. What do you find most interesting about
the sub-genre of spy thrillers (e.g. mystery,
suspense, action etc.)
1. What would you believe is the most
important part of the sequence for the film
to be realistic?
1. Do you have any improvements for how
we could adjust our idea to improve our
opening sequence?
