This document summarizes a spring colloquium presented by Christobelle Tan about teaching honors algebra to 25 students in 7th-9th grade, most in 8th grade, at The Preuss School. 18 of the students were English learners who have been reclassified as fluent in English. The colloquium included reflections on best practices for teaching English learners, personal growth as an educator, and reflections on teaching the subject material.
