Spiritual care in nursing, to me means providing help to maintain and cope with illness, loses and life changes by combining mind, body and spirit. Spiritual care to me also means providing or facilitating patients with practices, beliefs, rituals or objects that people turn to during difficult times. This could be prayer, meditation, poetry or music or a visit from their priest, pastor or rabbi. Spiritual care gives meaning to life and gives hope. Many patients know that their faith and spirituality will help them heal and people turn to their spirituality when facing difficult times. I personally believe that we need to be more aware as nurses and health care providers of the patients’ spiritual needs. My definition of spiritual care is in accordance with the readings: according to the chapter “Spiritual Care” means being present, praying, sharing the gospel, offering words of witness and encouraging and participating in a healing service. It also means arranging referrals, planning creative strategies for follow up home care and even helping the patient become connected with a Christian community. Patients have many physical needs but sometimes the spiritual need takes priority. According to Shelly and Fish, in Spiritual Care: The Nurse Role. A spiritual need is “the lack of any factor or factors necessary to establish and/or maintain a dynamic, personal relationship with God” In spiritual care nurses and health care providers need to facilitate a personal relationship with God. Putting people in touch with God through compassionate, active listening, witnessing to them, prayer and bible reading. According to the reading chapter Spiritual care is not only welcomed by the Christian or spiritual patients the non-faithful welcome this kind of care when it is delivered with a gentle heart, gentle spirit and humility. Spiritual Care “is the aspect of health care that attends to spiritual and religious needs brought on by an illness or injury” (spiritual care def, n.d.a.). This definition simplifies the enormous wide-raged descriptions of what spiritual care encompasses. My personal thoughts regarding what spiritual care is are very similar to the topic readings. As stated in Called to Care: A Christian Worldview for Nursing, “Sometimes spiritual care means simply being present, praying, sharing from Scriptures, offering a word of witness and encouragement or participating in a healing service” (Shelly & Miller, 2006). In this description, I focused on the words “being present.” To me, spiritual care does not only mean to put the patient in touch with God, it means to provide holist care to patients that encourages them to express their feelings which in turn empowers them to deal with illness or injury. Nurses can provide their patients with spiritual care the minute they walk in the patient’s room. A nurse’s demeanor says a lot of how the patient will react and open-up emotionally. This demeanor can start the conversation and lead to realizing that spiritual interventions need to be sought for the patient. It is the nurse’s active listening and compassionate presence that is a part of providing spiritual care. Nurses must take the lead from the patient if prayer, reading from the scripture and partnering with the Christian community is desired. If a Christian connection is not preferred, offering to teach meditation, relaxation exercises, and music are all choices that are considered spiritual care. The following is a quote from the readings that emulates my feelings of what spiritual caring involves: “We cannot underestimate the power of supportive presence in spiritual care-…This involves active listening, encouragement, expressing faith and hope and physical care. Anticipating a person’s physical needs being willing to cheerfully handle foul-smelling excrement and bodily discharges, offering a gentle touch or a helpful hand all communicate personal dignity and worth” (Shelly & Miller, 2006). As a prudent nurse, I believe we all need to connect with our patients providing holistic, spiritual care.

I believe, spiritual care is the spiritual and religious needs brought on by an illness or injury. In addition, with spiritual care, patient can helped to boost their support and coping skills among stress and sickness. The spiritual care of the topic readings focuses on building a relationship with God, with the methods which are addresses in the Christian world view. A person's spirituality and faith values impact his or her understanding of illness as well as health care decisions even if unspoken, therefore spiritual care should be a primary focus in health care settings.
There is a positive relationship between spirituality, health and well-being. Spirituality affects every aspects of person’s life, so offering spiritual care support should be an important focus for the health care. Most patients and their families do not anticipate in-depth, specialized spiritual care from their nurses, but they do have a strong expectation for some basic spiritual care connections including interventions such as active and empathic listening, proactively communicating, and expressing compassion.

I agree with u sometimes patients think only practice only there religion and faith ,so lack of education may cause nurses or other health care providers to be uncomfortable when assessing their clients and providing spiritual care. They may also worry about inappropriateness of addressing spiritual needs, hold the belief that spirituality is synonymous with religion; they may also have difficulty separating the client's spiritual dimension from their psychosocial dimension. There are a vast number of health care professionals that believe that the spiritual care of the patient or client is the domain of the chaplain, priest, imam, rabbi, or other trained clergy person. It is true that the fore mentioned individuals certainly do provide spiritual care, however, it is not exclusively their domain. The nurse, who provides bedside physical care has also the right and responsibility to provide spiritual care. He or she cares for the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.

This describes the purpose of spiritual care. But, what is good spiritual care? “Good spiritual care should bring glory to God, and not mere comfort to the patient or acceptance with the health care community,” (Shelly & Miller, 2006, 263). In this manner, I am lacking in my ability to meet this need. I know I meet the basic standards as described by Shelly and Miller: “Sometimes spiritual care means simply being present, praying, sharing from Scripture, offering a word of witness and encouragement or participating in a healing service. At other times it may include arranging referrals, planning creative strategies for follow-up care in the home or helping a person become connected to a Christian community,” (Shelly & Miller, 2006, 263). This statement is something I can do and have done for patients. I know which religious figures in the community will come to our facility to see patients if requested. I have stood with patients when they pray, and have prayed for patients per their request.
I believe spiritual care to be important in the complete care of a patient. I believe spiritual care brings positivity and comfort to patients. I do not feel it is appropriate for me to ask the patient if I can pray with/for him/her, but if the patient asks me to pray for/with him/her, I will gladly do so and have done so in the past with patients. Spirituality is an individual belief that must respect in each patient, as their level of faith, their beliefs, and their religion may not match my own. “A recent survey of 4,000 nurses identified that meeting patients’ spiritual needs is extremely important and improves overall quality of nursing care. However, only 5% felt they achieved this goal. Although nurses appear to be aware of spiritual needs, lack of clear definitions and practical guidance means they are often uncertain about how these can be addressed as part of clinical care” (Sartori, 2010). Health care sciences have begun to demonstrate that spirituality, faith, and religious commitment may play a role in promoting health and reducing illness. Nurse clinicians and researchers, as well as others, are becoming more interested in the connection between religious faith and survival. Increasingly, people are beginning to recognize that faith is good medicine. Spirituality is that part of individuals that deals with relationships and values and addresses questions of purpose and meaning in life. Spirituality unites people and is inclusive in nature, not exclusive. It is not loyal to one group, continent, or religion. Although spirituality is not a religion, being involved in a particular religion is a way some people enhance their spirituality. Yet, people can be very spiritual and not religious. Spirituality involves individuals, family, friends, and community. Individual aspects are the development of moral values and beliefs about the meaning and purpose of life and death. The development of spirituality pro- vides a grounding sense of identity and contributes to self-esteem. Spiritual aspects relating to family and friends include the search for meaning through relationships and the feeling of being connected with others and with an external power, often identified as God or a Supreme Being. Community aspects of spirituality can be under- stood as a common humanity and a belief in the fundamental sacredness and unity of all life. It is that which motivates people toward truth and a sense of fairness and justice toward all members of society. Spiritual health is expressed through humor, com- passion, faith, forgiveness, courage, and creativity. Spirituality enables people to develop healthy relationships based on acceptance, respect, and compassion.
Religion can be described in a number of ways. The definition chosen for this text is one developed by Mickley, Carson, and Soeken (1995), three nursing researchers. They believe that religion develops and changes over time and is composed of people’s beliefs, attitudes, and patterns of behavior that relate to the supernatural God, the Divine One, the Great Spirit, Creator, and so forth. Religion usually includes a group of people who hold similar beliefs, have sacred texts, share religious symbols, and participate in shared traditions or rituals. Many people may say they are spiritual but not religious, while most religious people also identify themselves as spiritual (Carson & Koenig, 2008; Young & Koopsen, 2011).

All 3 items have their own representation to the people of their time. I found that the Minoan Snake Goddess and the Totem Pole both have common similarities as they both can interpret a strong spiritual meaning. With the Totem Pole, it's comprised of an actual totem which can symbolize a spirit, tribe, family, or an individual. I find it interesting that the average person would think that when someone dies or they elect to create a Totem Pole remembering someone, that you actually pick the animal to place at the top of the pole, but theoretically the animal has already picked you based off a persons past and present. The animal itself acts as the main guardian spirit throughout their lives and after. Each animal can depict different characteristics or beliefs as well as far as the cultural considerations.
In contrast to the Totem Pole, the Minoan Snake Goddess also interprets a spiritual belief. The Minoan Snake Goddess is picture of a woman in power holding two snakes. Each serpent represents two different worlds; one the access to spiritual wisdom, and her ultimate power of transformation. She stands in between them to create a bridge of the two worlds in an attempt to bring them together. In the Minoan culture, women were predominately in charge since there was a lack in temples or places of worship. The Minoan Snake Goddess was found in c. 1600 BCE. As mentioned previously, the Snake Goddess to me, was in close comparison with the Totem Pole being that they both had a spiritual common theme.
The Giotto Crucifix of Santa Maria Novella has it's own interpretation and definitely differs from the other two. This painting gives off a sense of suffrage and pain. The crucifix, which stands nineteen feet high, depicts Christ's body strung on a cross with Virgin Mary and St. John facing him on each side. I believe this symbolizes the final moments of Christ's death as you can see the blood flowing down from his limbs, muscles in distress, and head down showing a sign of execution. In this piece, it's amazing how the artist managed to make everything look so real, from the hair to the bones helping the viewer dive deeper into the meaning of this painting. Giotto's Crucifix of Santa Maria Novella was made roughly between 1288-1289, then later on reconstructed in 2000. This piece was inspired by the School of Franciscan, which has a Roman Catholic religious belief. In conclusion, all three of these pieces have an interesting story as to how they're similar and also how they differ.

Simple Mesh
The primary objective of this Tutorial is to guide the student using Fluent for first time through the very basics of CFD simulation using ANSYS Workbench.
The objective of this simulation is to determine the velocity and pressure fields produced when a fluid flows over a cylinder. In addition, the drag force exerted by the fluid over the cylinder is computed. Streamline plots are also available.
Summary: In this exercise, the flow over a cylinder is modeled. The flow is assumed to be two dimensional therefore the cylinder can be represented by a circle. A flow domain surrounding the cylinder is created and meshed. Boundary conditions are applied to the simulation to obtain plots of static pressure, velocity magnitude, and streamlines. The drag coefficient can be calculated using the forces exerted by the fluid on the cylinder as computed by the software.

Starting ANSYS Workbench • Click on the Start Menu, and then select Workbench 14.0. • Close Getting Started window. • Left click on the tab corresponding to FluidFlow (FLUENT) and without releasing the mouse button drag the icon to the Project Schematic window (central big window). • Click twice on the lower tab and rename the project to Cylinder1
• Now right click on the Geometry tab and select the properties option, a Properties of Schematic window will open. This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is

- 1. Spiritual care in nursing, to me means providing help to maintain and cope with illness, loses and life changes by combining mind, body and spirit. Spiritual care to me also means providing or facilitating patients with practices, beliefs, rituals or objects that people turn to during difficult times. This could be prayer, meditation, poetry or music or a visit from their priest, pastor or rabbi. Spiritual care gives meaning to life and gives hope. Many patients know that their faith and spirituality will help them heal and people turn to their spirituality when facing difficult times. I personally believe that we need to be more aware as nurses and health care providers of the patients’ spiritual needs. My definition of spiritual care is in accordance with the readings: according to the chapter “Spiritual Care” means being present, praying, sharing the gospel, offering words of witness and encouraging and participating in a healing service. It also means arranging referrals, planning creative strategies for follow up home care and even helping the patient become connected with a Christian community. Patients have many physical needs but sometimes the spiritual need takes priority. According to Shelly and Fish, in Spiritual Care: The Nurse Role. A spiritual need is “the lack of any factor or factors necessary to establish and/or maintain a dynamic, personal relationship with God” In spiritual care nurses and health care providers need to facilitate a personal relationship with God. Putting people in touch with God through compassionate, active listening, witnessing to them, prayer and bible reading. According to the reading chapter Spiritual care is not only welcomed by the Christian or spiritual patients the non-faithful welcome this kind of care when it is delivered with a gentle heart, gentle spirit and humility.
