CLIMATE
SUBMITTED BY -
A I M
To create climate-responsive campuses in
India, specifically tailored for composite
climates.
O B J E C T I V E S
• to develop campus planning strategies that are responsive to
composite climatic .
• Integrating adaptation to climate change into territorial spatial
planning to enhance resilience and sustainability
• controlling temperature and addressing energy conservation in
museum buildings
• strategies for passive designing for overcoming climate
challenges with respect to its planning
B A C KG R O U N D
Museums face challenges like human discomfort from extreme
temperature and humidity, increased energy costs, health
implications, , and accelerated degradation of artwork due to
poor conditions. It includes planning strategies that are
responsive to the specific climatic conditions of composite
climates.
PA R A M E T E R S
• Analyze the circulation of visitors through the
signage and guidance
• enjoyable user experience
• This includes considerations for
• building orientation
• thermal lag establishment
• shading strategies
• material use
• sustainable and energy-efficient campus
environments.
• Extreme Weather Events
• Temperature Fluctuations
• Water Damage from Flooding

Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal
Review
B.V. Doshi.
• spatial organization of the campus
• land within the campus is allocated for
various purposes
• the campus's resilience to
environmental challenges such as
climate change and natural disasters.
• Analyzing the architectural and
urban design principles
underlying the campus layout
and buildings.
• Examining the spatial
arrangement of buildings, open
spaces, and circulation routes
within the campus
• stairs are inspired by Indian
Ghats
• Analyze the architectural style, design
principles, and significance of Bharat
Bhavan's structure, including its
integration of modernist and
traditional elements.
• Examine how land within the campus
is allocated for various purposes
• Designed with simple yet
interesting shapes and an
auditorium with a skylight.
• free-flowing circulation to
avoid crowding
• open courtyards connecting
indoor and outdoor spaces.
Charles Correa
• thoughtful approach to design
• sustainability and community
engagement
• It serves as a vibrant cultural
center, showcasing various
forms of art, including visual
arts, performing arts, and
literary activities.
• It provides quality spaces for
public enjoyment.
