Two Dutch brothers, aged 14 and 15, who are dyslexic, sailed over 2000 miles from the Netherlands to their grandparents' home in Villajoyosa, Spain to draw attention to the lack of support for dyslexic minors in the Dutch education system. They stopped in several countries along the way to discuss their issues with education officials and gather signatures for their petition before enduring a storm off the coast of Spain that damaged their father's boat.

1. Two Dutch brothers have grandparents who live in Villajoyosa on the Spanish Costa Blanca .
The 14 and 15 year old brothers also have an educational problem , they are both dyslexic and
it seems that the Dutch government does not recognise the or cater for the individual rights of
minors and consequently they are having big problems in receiving an education in Holland . So
they decided to draw attention to their plight .
The two boys have just completed a 2000 mile sailing trip together in their 6 metre yacht ,
followed by their father in his 7 metre yacht .
En route to Villajoyosa they stopped off in northern France , the south of England , crossed the
Bay of Biscay in October and headed for Lisbon where they met with UNICEF officials to
discuss their problem . While there they gathered signatures for their petition and then
continued their journey into the Mediterranean .Off the coast of Almeria they hit a storm which
damaged their father´s boat but they managed to continue and finally reached Villajoyosa where
they met up with their grandparents .
