During a concert at a church near Barcelona, 35 people in the audience suffered carbon monoxide poisoning from faulty heaters being used. Three people, including an 80-year-old woman and 8-year-old child, had to be rushed to the hospital in serious condition, while most others had mild effects from inhaling the toxic gas. The building was ventilated overnight and deemed safe to reopen by firefighters the next day, highlighting the importance of regular safety checks on heating systems to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
