Spanish Christmas Recipe
      Asparagus with Salmon
Basic ingredients:
•   A medium jar of white asparagus.
•   A few slices of smoked salmon.
•   Dill.
•   Capers.
•   Lemon.
Steps:
1. Drain the jar of asparagus .
2. Sprinkle the salmon slices with a
   little lemon juice and dill.
3. Wrap each asparagus in a slice of
   salmon.
4. Place on a plate and garnish with a
   few capers
Turron
Basic ingredients:
•   1 kilo of honey
•   500g sugar
•   2 egg whites
•   1 ½ kilos ground almonds
•   1 lemon
Steps:
• 1. Heat the honey in a pan over a low heat .
• 2. Add the sugar to the pan and stir using a wooden spoon
• 3. Beat the egg white until stiff and add to the honey and sugar
  mixture in the pan remove from the heat and stir for 8 - 12 mins
  before placing the pan once again over a low heat. Continue
  stirring until the mixture begins to caramelize
• 4. Add the ground almonds together with the zest of the lemon
  - mix everything together and then set aside to cool for a few
  mins
• 5. Put the mixture into a metal tin lined with grease proof paper
  - set aside to cool for 2 hours
• 6. Once it has completely cooled it is ready to eat - if you want
  to store it use an airtight container.
Prawns with garlic
                  mayonnaise
• Basic ingredients:
•   50 g mayonnaise

•   50g large prawns

•   1 large clove of garlic crushed
•   sea salt
Steps
• 1. Mix the mayonnaise and crushed garlic in a bowl and
  set aside
• 2. Shell the prawns, place on a baking tray
• 3. sprinkle with a little sea salt and olive oil then place
  under a medium grill
• 4. Turn the prawns several times so that they are
  thoroughly cooked on both sides
• 5. When the prawns are golden place on a serving dish with
  the garlic mayonnaise to one side
