For Christmas, the author's family had dinner at their grandmother's house on December 24th where they ate a lot of food and played cards late into the night. On New Year's Eve, the author helped their grandmother prepare dinner for the whole family. On January 5th, the author and some friends participated in a Parade of Kings, dressing up and painting their faces before taking photos and removing their costumes and makeup.

1. CHRISTMAS

2. 24 of decembre :
• My family and I have dinner in the house of
my grandmother. In the night my grandmother
made a great dinner and we all ate very much.
Then we all played cards . My father ,my
mother and my grandmother play much. We
sleep at three o’clock.

3. 31 of december:
• At seven o'clock I went to my grandmother’s
house to help to prepare the dinner. At ten
the whole family met to have dinner together.

4. 5 of January
• On the 4th a few friends and I took part in the
Parade of the kings. We all painted our faces
and dressed in suits. We had a good time.
Then we went to change clothes and to take
the makeup from us. We did many photos.

5. 6 of January :
• In the morning when my sister and I got up we
opened all the gifts. Later we dress and went
to house of my cousins, my uncles and my
grandparents to open the gifts.
