Overview of Spain’s Automotive Industry
Spain is the second biggest manufacturer of larger cars in Europe and eighth
largest producer of vehicles worldwide. It is also the first largest manufacturer
of Industrial Vehicles in Europe, including light vehicles. In 2017, vehicle production
in Spain has reached 2.8 Million units. The Spanish Industry has launched the 3
Million Plan to reach 3 million vehicles in 2019. Out of this number, 90% of the
vehicles manufactured in Spain are shipped abroad to 130 countries.
The 9 multinational brands established in the country have in course €10 billion of
productive investment to expand production and to manufacture new models and

PSA Peugeot Citroën is a French multinational
manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles sold
under three brands namely Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles. The PSA Group
is present in some 100 countries and develops activities in six regions globally.
PSA is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange and has been back again on a
constituent of the CAC 40 index since 2015 after having been removed in 2012.
In addition to the car brands, the Group has a portfolio of brands and services spanning

PSA is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange and has been back again on a constituent of the CAC 40 index since 2015 after having been removed in 2012. In addition to the car brands, the Group has a portfolio of brands and services spanning the automotive value chain including Banque PSA Finance, Peugeot Citroën Moteurs and Mister Auto.
