 A personnel policy is a preplanned course of
action establishing a guide to work toward
acceptable outcomes and objectives. Personnel
policies are the rules that govern how to deal
with a human resources or personnel related
situation.

organization's goal, function rules, regulation
and managerial.

TYPES OF PERSONNEL POLICIES
ORIGINATED POLICIES
Originated Policies for effectively guide the actions of the
subordinates, the top management of the business
formulates policies for the important functional areas.
Such policies are called originated policies.

APPEALED POLICIES
These are formulated to meet the requirements of
certain peculiar situations which have not been
covered by the earlier policies. Such requests usually
came from subordinates who fail to handle the cases
based on guidance offered be existing policies.

Imposed policies are sometimes imposed on the
business by external agencies such as government
trade associations and trade unions.

They reflect the basic philosophy and priorities of
the top management in formulating the brand plan
