Learn why a resume is important and how to chunk your work to learn what behaviours and core skills you have.
Also lots of tips on how to structure a resume for an IT job
The document summarizes John Clegg's presentation on how to write an effective resume. The presentation covers what companies look for in resumes, examples of good and bad resume formatting, and tips for writing resumes. The presentation emphasizes highlighting one's top 5 skills with real examples and customizing each resume to the specific job being applied for.
A hands-on session taking teams through a (not quite) real world scenario to learn Agile Scrum principles and practices. We'll form teams and walk through a Sprint Planning session, a Sprint, and a Retrospective. Although this is an intro-level workshop, we'll include some new games and ideas for more experienced practitioners.
Here are the slides on how to "Reverse Engineer" how to get an awesome IT job. We asked our top 40 students for tips on how to get hired. We're summarised their wisdom into this slide deck.
The document provides tips on writing an effective resume. It recommends including a 1-2 page resume with sections for key skills, qualifications, and references. For skills, it advises highlighting 4-5 core competencies with concrete examples and proof of how they were applied. The summary should convey who the applicant is, what they want to do, what they can do for the employer, and why they are interested in the company. Overall, the resume should be tailored for each job and focus on demonstrating the applicant's most relevant strengths and qualifications for the role.
This document provides tips for successfully preparing for and conducting a "meet and greet" (M&G). It recommends doing research on companies and roles beforehand. It then gives advice on practicing introductions, asking open questions, and preparing pitches about one's skills and goals. The document includes examples of practice conversations and feedback sessions to refine these skills before M&Gs. It stresses following up after M&Gs by being professional and honest in interactions.

Hiring managers should leverage their LinkedIn profiles to help with sourcing candidates. They should include engaging status updates about their company and industry along with mentioning they are hiring. When describing their role, hiring managers should highlight exciting projects and technologies rather than generic descriptions. Partnering directly with recruiters and technical candidates can help sourcing by lending more credibility to outreach from the hiring manager and providing a personal touch compared to generic recruiter messages. Tracking results from joint sourcing sessions where hiring managers contact candidates directly can provide data on the effectiveness of this approach.

The document discusses how Westbury Public Schools implemented a contactless smart ID card system provided by ScholarChip to improve student attendance tracking and security. Key points include:
- Smart ID cards were issued to students and staff to track attendance using card readers in classrooms, the cafeteria, and other locations. This improved attendance rates and freed up classroom time.
- The system also increased security by locking doors, tracking visitor access, and knowing the location of all individuals in an emergency situation.
- Analysis found the student cut rate dropped 80% after implementation, and the system provided accountability for tracking student seat time and teacher evaluations. Overall the smart ID card system was deemed a success at Westbury Schools.

How to land your first job in tech without an engineering degreeStuti Verma
Although, formal education helps in creating opportunities for first job but it is not necessary to have a degree in computer science, math or other STEM fields to get a job at a tech company. In today’s fast-paced technology industry, most of the information of the world is never more than a few clicks away and where things change so fast, education must in fact be a life-long process and not the learn-once-use-forever one-off process. Therefore, relevance of a degree is easily compensated with relevant skills combined with business use-cases and projects.
In this talk, we will discuss about the roles and opportunities in the tech industry and why skill-driven approach changes mindset of the recruiter. It will include how one can break barriers of academic limitations, tap into opportunities through soft skills and networking, choose to slip into the job they want rather than slip away. Concluding it with useful resources and hacks to network better to land into opportunities life-long.

The document contains many examples of ineffective and improved job description language.
Making sense of your Digital WorkplaceSam Marshall

It also stresses the need for support, training and flexibility given different adoption rates of new technologies by employees.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
The simplified electron and muon model, Oscillating Spacetime: The Foundation...RitikBhardwaj56
Discover the Simplified Electron and Muon Model: A New Wave-Based Approach to Understanding Particles delves into a groundbreaking theory that presents electrons and muons as rotating soliton waves within oscillating spacetime. Geared towards students, researchers, and science buffs, this book breaks down complex ideas into simple explanations. It covers topics such as electron waves, temporal dynamics, and the implications of this model on particle physics. With clear illustrations and easy-to-follow explanations, readers will gain a new outlook on the universe's fundamental nature.

“The Summer of Code program during my university years was
my first encounter with programming in the real world. Getting
placement in a local startup company was a great way to get
exposure to every aspect of running a software business,
programming and otherwise.
The startup experience inspired me to start my own projects
using new technologies which kickstarted my software
career.”
65. “I largely don’t care about someone’s
actual coding skill on day 1, because they
often won’t align with our patterns anyway,
but its all teachable.
What I want to see is a candidate’s ability
to interact with an existing codebase and
team….”

66. What companies are looking for
“…The single best way you can do this is
by choosing a project and contributing.
One way to get started (assuming github
here), is fork the an interesting repo, read
the contributor guidelines (which typically
also include an explanation of how to set
up for development), and then look for a
bug to fix, or new feature to add.” - Brad
Murray , DATACOM
68. “We like to see working demos of games
they have made. An app I can run on my
phone is great, from the app store is even
better.
Some people have unity games that are
very impressive, but Unity hides some of
the difficult parts so we prefer to see C++
game demos…”
What companies are looking for
69. “The stuff that sticks out the most is when
they have a larger game demo they have
worked on in a team. It helps us get a
sense for how well they work with others.
Things like the Imagine Cup or Global
Game Jam are great.”

could get a job as a programmer.
That isn't true anymore.”
