of metaphors and similes, we are able to make a comparison
and understand the moral of the poem in our current time.

fear for the coming of winter. He describes what he feels as
winter season comes by focusing more on details and
descriptions.
He used adjectives for his poem to be effective and
impactful that go beyond the literal meanings of the words to
give readers new insights. He used literary techniques such as
simile, metaphor, and imagery.

physical and mental state of the poet. The warmth of summer is
represented as happiness and joy for the poet. While winter
signals cold and dark times. "All winter will possess my being:
wrath" states the pain of winter.
Winter being a chilly and gloomy season, we are able to
safely make a comparison with the poet and the season.
Autumn however is only mentioned to describe the sensation
of being in-between summer and winter.
