User experience doesn't happen on a screen: It happens in the mind.John Whalen
User experience is a vital component of mission-critical projects. The vast majority of experience is digital. We spend insane amounts of time and money designing UX for websites, apps and products to impress users. But the truth is UX isn’t a singular experience we can define. And it doesn’t happen on a screen – it happens in the mind. More specifically, the six minds.
Discover how UX is truly a collection of experiences occurring across six brain concentrations, each with their own processing styles and ideal states. And how, using psychological principles, you can uncover the conscious and subconscious needs of these six minds to appeal to users on cognitive and emotional levels.

Technical marketers are in high demand and low supply. Being able to dive into data on your own, with no help from engineering, makes you a much better marketer.
This is why SQL is so powerful - it allows you to see any data you want about anything your customers do. Knowing how to use SQL is literally a marketing superpower.
In this SQL tutorial specifically for marketers, I've pulled together SQL query basics that any marketer or data analyst will need to dig into their customer analytics. This course is the best resource for marketers, growth hackers and product managers who want to get more technical and learn SQL. It's what I wish existed when I was going through tutorial after tutorial, sifting through lots of information that didn't apply to me and trying to learn on my own.
SQL is simple enough that - just by learning a few concepts I cover above - you'll be able to use it for any kind of data analysis, cohort analysis or campaign breakdown.

But the good news is there are many opportunities for user research that most designers and developers just aren’t aware of. They are cheap, easy to implement, and can used straight away on almost any project.
Lily will talk you through 3 methods of no excuse user research that you can use immediately on the websites, products, apps and services you work on every day.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

58. Advanced Retargeting Ideas Point Ads to DEDICATED landing pages specific to each Facebook Ads Campaign group
59. Advanced Retargeting Ideas Create dedicated (orphaned) Landing Pages for each Ad with separate Remarketing scripts to create ‘demographic’ Remarketing lists. 62. In Summary… Retargeting is powerful and proven to work You can be as active or as passive as you like Think outside the box - always PLAN. It is a lot like email marketing, those segmented audience lists can be gold. Did I mention? It’s really fun! Without a private detective, it’s impossible to market to customers who’ve been in and out of your physical store.
Retargeting/remarketing gives you a second chance to convert visitors into Paying customers (if you do it right)
Note: Google Has over 1,000,000 AdSense partners in it’s network.
Here you can see the relationship between the effectiveness of ‘deep’ audiences and ‘shallow’ audiences.
Mick Case Study 1 showing massive ROI – especially on View Through’s
Mick Case Study 2 – very high Conversion rates and low CPA’s in this example. Also high impression rates.
Mick Case Study 3 – Good Conversion rates and respectable CPA’s in this example. Also good impression rates.
Kogan are lazy, they use site-wide remarketing scripts. But no CTA in the Ads means low click through on ad’s (good) because then they get more search traffic.
You can also show product-specific promocodes from product page remarketing scripts
You know these people already know your brand – retarget for campaigns

With forward planning setting up the deals, then scheduling the campaign in AdWords you can get your specific daily deals up and running (remember to turn them off if the deal is fully subscribed – manual process). Image Ads can be trickier, in terms of approval lag time, but you could try anyway.
If people have shown an interest on your website for a particular product and you then update and release a new model, (think Ford Territory) you can show them ads showing off the new model (or even a ‘sneak peek’ exclusive first look?)
You can advertise/promote competitions to previous visitors…
I’ll talk about how to create different/segmented audiences shortly
You know they’re interested in a certain job position, remind them to apply.
Vodafone are doing a great job with this problem but could take it even further by remarketing to people who visit the customer service update page with regular updates
Say thanks for something… Again, plan for post campaign activity to maximise lifespan
No brainer
You can see that Kogan is doing this well.
Problem is Google Takes Ages to approve image ads – use display ad builder and ‘image ad’ them as Google puts DAB Ads at the bottom of the pile
Build Image Ads from DAB Ads for faster approval.
