Initial fees for most brands ranged from $30,000 to $75,000 plus additional fees per room. Royalty fees were typically 4-5% of gross rooms revenue but some brands had alternative pay-for-performance or flat fee models. Marketing fees were generally 2.5-4% of gross rooms revenue. Current portfolio sizes varied greatly from 1 hotel with 68 rooms to over 6,000 hotels with over 600,000 rooms.
