Socialism, What is it and what
does it do for you
What is Socialism.
Socialism is the collective
ownership by all the people of the
factories, mills, mines, railroads,
land and all other instruments of
production.
Socialism is a system in which
production goes towards the needs
of the person, not for sale and
profit as is under Capitalism.
Socialism is controlled by a
Democratically elected government
by the people, not the
Corporations.
Socialism Supports our country even today
The largest portion we see
every day is the US all
volunteer Military.
Paid for by tax payers for
tax payers to protect them
Through US tax payer
money, our farms are
subsidized to pay
farmers to produce food
for us.
Education. Whether it
is grants and financial
aid for college or High
School. It was paid for
by the people for the
people
• Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same
as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave
owners.
In a socialist
system workers
have a vested
interest in the
goods and
services they
produce. The
fruit of their
labour goes to
them, not a
corporate
overlord.
Socialism allows
for higher quality
goods.
Capitalism stifles
production and
creates lower
quality goods and
services.
Freedom, socialism allows for the masses to
spend more time exploring that which interests
them less time being a slave to irk out a meager
living.
Pride in what you
accomplish. Socialism
out the worker in
charge of their
output. This ensure
that the worker will
produce a product
that is needed and
wanted not one that
is forced upon them
to make.
A real voice in politics. The worker
controls the economy. Workers have a
larger stake in the game with no corporate
money in politics the politicians have
more of a reason to listen to those that
put them there.
Class is a major driver
in violence and
hatred. Socialism
does away with
classism.
• Equality, under socialism no one is above another. Humans are
treated with respect no matter race, religion, or orientation. The state
will not create laws that elevate one over the other.
Strong Unions. They ensure the
worker is compensated fairly for
the work they perform.
Unions are responsible for work
place safety, 40hr work week, sick
pay, honest pay for honest work.
Did you think this was given to you
willingly?
