Social status refers to the honor or prestige associated with one's position in society or social group. It relates to the rank or role one holds, such as son, daughter, student. Social status can affect people's everyday lives and how they handle both positive and negative experiences. For the character Tyler in the book "Twisted", maintaining a good social status is very important to feel successful and that his time is well spent.

5. We chose this topic because it relates well to the book “Twisted” it shows us how social status can affect your everyday lives. It helps you through depressing or tough times and maybe helps through sad and happy times. With social status you have that feeling of knowing that you are ranked or labeled in the world it shows that you belong to a group of different types of people friends or not!
