Social networking is on the rise and study found that 22% of teenagers log onto their favorite social media sites more than 10 times a day. To connect effectively with your children or younger siblings, you have to learn more about the different social media platforms that they are on, understand how each platform work, communicate in their lingo and be seen as a ācoolā parent.
The increased level of social engagement also saw the rise of cyberbullying, āFacebook depressionā (a new phenomenon where āde-friendingā and online bullying lead to symptoms of depression) and exposure to inappropriate content for our young ones.
