The Paid-Owned-Earned (POEM) framework is a
marketing concept that helps businesses understand
the different types of media they can leverage to reach
their target audience.
1.Paid media: This refers to media that is paid for, such
as advertising on TV, print, digital platforms, or social
media. Paid media is a way for businesses to reach a
large audience in a short amount of time.
2.Owned media: This refers to media that the business
owns, such as its website, blog, and social media
channels. This type of media allows businesses to
control the message and provide a more direct and
personal connection with their target audience.

3.Earned media: This refers to media that is
earned, such as media coverage, customer
reviews, and word-of-mouth. This type of media is
often considered the most valuable because it is a
trusted endorsement from a third-party source.
The POEM framework helps businesses to
understand how to effectively use these different
types of media to reach their target audience and
achieve their marketing goals. By balancing the
use of paid, owned, and earned media,
businesses can create a comprehensive and
effective marketing strategy that leverages the
strengths of each type of media.
