Dylan uses several social media platforms to share updates and connect with others. Twitter is his most frequently used site where he shares short "tweets" with his "followers". Facebook allows Dylan to post longer "statuses" that his "friends" can see and interact with. Instagram differs in that Dylan's posts always include pictures or videos, known as media posts, which he adds captions to describe.

3. Twitter
• Twitter is probably the social media I use the most
• It is similar to Facebook, in which you post updates where people of
your choosing read them
• From here you can like or comment an update or post
• Differences from Facebook are people who can read the updates are
called “followers” on twitter not “friends”
• Also the posts or updates are called “tweets” on Twitter
• An account can be public (open to everyone), or private (open to only
those who follow you

5. Facebook
• Similar to the previous slide of Twitter
• Facebook has been around longer than Twitter, and also has more
users
• People who get your updates are referred to as friends
• New updates are called your “status”
• Facebook has more users of outside of teenagers, older generations
• You can still like or comment on a status, the same as you can on
Twitter

7. Instagram
• Instagram is a completely different social media site
• It is based entirely on pictures and short videos
• Just like Twitter and Facebook, you can still like and comment on a
post
• However posts do not consist of just word, but always include a
picture or a video
• Words are still used in the “caption” of the media post (short
description of the post under the picture or video)
