interactions among people in which they
create, share, and exchange information.

media platforms. It’s a great opportunity for
your business to reach a large pool of people
that are interested in your products or
services.

powerful tools in providing information to
people or in society. Media is part of our daily
life.

12.  The use of electronic communication to bully
a person, typically by sending messages of an
intimidating or threatening nature. It takes
place over digital devices like cellphones,
computers, and tablets.
 there are about 4,400 cases of individuals
that have committed suicide because of such.
In my opinion one death is way too many, but
the 4,400 cases truly disgusts and saddens.

15.  Not only has social media been proven to
cause unhappiness, but it can also lead to the
development of mental health issues such as
anxiety or depression when used too much or
without caution.
 In March 2018, it was reported that more
than a third of Generation Z from a survey of
1,000 individuals stated that they were
quitting social media for good as 41 per cent
stated that social media platforms make them
feel anxious, sad or depressed.

17.  The phenomena of social media addiction can
largely be contributed to the dopamine-
inducing social environments that social
networking sites provide. Social media
platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, and
Instagram produce the same neural circuitry
that is caused by gambling and recreational
drugs to keep consumers using their
products as much as possible.

19.  Some experts see the rise in depression as
evidence that the connections social media
users form electronically are less emotionally
satisfying, leaving them feeling socially
isolated.

21.  It is here that the impact of social media can be
seen the most. Earlier, families would bond over
face-to-face conversations that would be had
with one another when everybody was done with
their day’s work and were at home, unwinding.
These days, families barely greet one another,
and everyone is engrossed in their own news
posts on their own social media accounts.
Watching videos, reacting to posts online and
responding to friends seems to have become
more important than even saying hello to one
another. Below we discuss some further effects
that social media has on family relationships.
