Social innovation in Africa addresses numerous unmet social needs through new approaches. Some of the social needs highlighted in the document include providing affordable and clean electricity to low-income families, sharing information during crises, ensuring access to genuine drugs, building decent toilets in urban areas, offering basic financial services in rural regions, and developing affordable housing for low-income groups in urban and rural areas. Meeting these social needs will require collaboration between African social innovators, governments, universities, private foundations, impact investors, and international organizations to develop solutions and provide funding.
