An Unforgettable Trip to Bromo
Last holiday, my friends and I decided to go to Bromo. We
left Surabaya in the afternoon. After a very long and tiring trip, we
finally arrived in Probolinggo. We arrived at the hotel at 2 p.m. and
immediately were ready for our trip to the montain.Bromo actually
belongs to the Tengger group. This group consist of four mountains,
namely Bromo, Penanjakan, Batok, and Widodaren.
Driving on our 1997 Suzuki Carry, we climbed Penanjakan
to enjoy the sunrise. It was amazing! From Penanjakan, we left for
Bromo. During our trip, a horrible thing happened. Although Bromo
was lower than Penanjakan, out trip proved to be very difficult.
While our car was slowly climbing the mountain, it suddenly became stuck. It slowly moved backward. We quickly
jumped out of the car. The driver asked us to push the car, and we did it accordingly. We pushed and pushed the car
but the engine refused to start. When we were too tired to push, we stopped and leaned our backs to the car to stop it
sliding backward. It was horrible. All of us were desperate. After thirty minutes, the engine worked again. We cried in
happiness. Then we continued our journey.
We spent an hour in Bromo. I climbed the mountain on horseback and enjoyed the beauty of the smoky crater.
However, most of my friends refused to climb the mountain. They were too tired to do so. Pushing the car made them
exhausted.
