I had one unforgettable experience. It happened when I was in grade
seven.
One day, I was called for a meeting. All teachers and my friends were
scowling at me. The teachers even punished me and asked me to stand on a chair
with my eyes closed in the middle of the school yard. I had no idea whey they
were being so cruel to me. I was so sad. I cried.
Then suddenly, I heard my teachers and friends sang “Happy Birthday”.
After that, they showered me with water until I was wet. Next, they took me to
my classroom. My classmates congratulated me and gave me presents.
I was so surprised. I will never forget that moment.

On Saturday, 17th March, I went to Siti’s birthday party. I was very excited. I went there with Fatima
and Diana. We wore fancy dress because it was a fancy dress party. I wore a Vampire costume, Fatima wore
a Zombie costume and Diana wore a ghost costume.
The party started at 7. First, we sang “Happy Birthday”. Then, Siti blew the candles. After that, we
ate some food and drank coke.
Later on, we did some games. Everybody enjoyed them. I cheered so hard that I nearly lost my
voice. While we were playing “Hide and Seek”, the lights suddenly went out. Some girls screamed because
they were afraid of dark. Fortunately, It didn’t take long. In ten minutes, the lights went on again, and we
continued the games.
Before the party was over, the MC announced the best costume of the party. Fatima got the first
prize. She looked so happy.
Finally, my dad arrived to take me home. I was so tired but happy.

I got a terrible day today. Early in the morning, I got up with a pain on one of my teeth. I directly
remembered that I forgot to brush my teeth last night.
When my mom knocked on my door, I could not open the door. I stayed on my bed holding my
cheek. My mom opened the door and asked me what happened. I told her that I got a terrible toothache. She
gave me an aspirin to relieve my pain. Then, she asked me to get dressed and then called a dentist.
I cried loudly and refused to go to the dentist. I was so scared. My mom insisted me to go, but I
refused it. Finally my mom called the dentist to cancel the appointment.
Soon, I regretted my decision because the pain on my tooth became worse. I promised to my mom
to go to the dentist tomorrow.

Last year I joined the Chicago Marathon, my first marathon contest. I had to run 26.2 miles to
complete it. It was hard.

at least one more marathon and improve my time. I also experienced a good feeling between participants

Lats year, I spent my vacation in my aunt’s house. She lives behind one of the hills in Boyolali. I
went there with my brother, Yoga. We took a bus from Semarang and got off at Solo bus station. My aunt
had waited for us there. She then took us to her house in Selo. This place is famous for its beautiful scenery.
The journey to Selo was thrilling. We had to climb the hill. The street was twisted here and there.
Moreover, it was foggy that afternoon. So, I could only see few meters in front of me. Luckily, my aunt was
a good driver. She drove very well.
We arrived at my aunt’s house at seven o’clock in the evening. The place was completely dark. It
was also very cold. Yoga and I refused to take a bath although my aunt said she had prepared hot water for
us.
At night, we went to one of the hills there. There was an offering ceremony. The villagers offered a
buffalo head for the Mount Merapi. People were dancing and singing during the ceremony. They wore
Javanese costumes. Yoga and I enjoyed the performance. We wore very thick jackets because it was very
cold.
