Defence Logistics Central and Eastern Europe conference taking
place between the 7th and 8th of March 2017 in Prague in the
Czech Republic.
As NATO increases its military presence in the Central and Eastern
European region, there needs to be a solid support base in the
form of strong logistics capabilities. Deployed troops and host
nation forces need to be able to work together and fulfil specific
combat service support missions with niche capabilities from
logistics C2, fuel support and heavy-lift capacity. As such, the key
requirements and priorities for a military’s logistics capability need
to be addressed.
There is therefore a need for a high level meeting that brings
together senior military leadership, project decision makers
and subject matter experts, alongside contractors and cutting
edge industry solution providers to share insights into this crucial
topic that will enhance the levels of cooperation in supporting
collective defence efforts in the Central and Eastern European
area. I believe Defence Logistics Central and Eastern Europe is

Nations in the Central and Eastern European
region are going through an intensive phase
of modernisation to meet NATO standards
and transform equipment support. Acquiring,
maintaining and supplying the equipment needs to
be managed effectively in order to provide the best
quality service to support the military community.
In order to improve the supply and sustainment
of modern forces new ways of managing fleets
and stockpiles of military inventory need to
be implemented, technology and innovation

to underpin military capability in the most effective
and efficient manner.
Drawing on his extensive experience in support
chain management, Brigadier (Retd) Mark Dunn
will guide you through how to enhance support
chain management to deliver the best resources
for armed forces in the region and will explore
innovative solutions to the biggest challenges in
managing the supply chain.
About the Workshop Leader:
Mark brings 38 years Army career experience to
the Defence and Security team in PA Consulting.
He has held senior leadership and management
posts on high tempo operations, support chain and
logistics, international collaboration, transformation
and change. As a member of a wide range of
executive boards, he has a record of achievement
in leadership and direction, strategic planning, cost
reduction programmes and talent management.
He operates effectively in a constant ‘change
environment’ leading and managing teams to
successful outcomes. An excellent communicator
and ambassador, he has held key engagement
roles and spoken at international conferences,
often in a UK Defence Engagement role.
