This document summarizes the properties and benefits of a high temperature MOS2 polyurea grease. The grease is based on polyurea thickeners and mineral oil with molybdenum disulfide and other additives to provide lubrication up to 200 degrees Celsius. It has been successfully used in continuous casters in steel mills. The grease offers high temperature resistance, extreme pressure resistance, corrosion protection, oxidative stability, and water resistance. It has a NLGI grade of 2, works penetration of 285 to 295, and drop point over 300 degrees Celsius. The grease is packaged in 180 kg drums and priced at $500 per drum.

Smart Chem MOS2 Polyurea Grease is based on polyurea thickeners and mineral oil, with
high performance additives, including molybdenum disulphide solids, extreme pressure
agents, oxidation inhibitor and rust preventives to provide long-term lubrication of
bearings operating in high temperatures and humidity environments. It has been
successfully used in Continuous Casters in steel mills.
