This document describes a smart waste management system that uses image recognition and sensors to automatically sort waste. A Raspberry Pi equipped with a camera captures images of waste on a conveyor belt. Using a TensorFlow model, the Pi identifies the waste type and whether it is wet or dry. A moisture sensor also detects if waste is wet. Then servo motors turn flaps to dump the waste into the appropriate bin for solid or wet waste. This automated system aims to improve waste sorting efficiency and reduce labor costs compared to conventional waste management. It is an example of applying internet of things and machine learning concepts to develop a smart waste sorting solution.
