I am a former Head Teacher of a large Infant School and Nursery, I have recently taken early
retirement. Education has changed so much in the past few years that I no longer feel it is what I went
into the profession for. I know I have a great deal to offer any employer. I am an extremely hard
working individual with a very positive attitude.
I have managed a staff of 40, and have a great deal of experience of working with outside agencies
I have always been a good member of a team, I can lead as well as support. I understand the
importance of building the confidence and self-esteem of individuals.
I am a good communicator, both verbally and visually, I enjoy working with people and finding their
strengths. I have extensive experience in staff training and development.
I am very creative and enjoy creating displays, layouts, documents and environments. I have enjoyed
creating areas in my garden, and decorating my house.
Over the past few months I have worked as a volunteer with adults with mental health issues,
teaching Chair-based exercise. I have also helped a friend to gain sponsorship for his Karting Team,
which provides a driving seat for young drivers wanting to break into Motorsport.
I would now like to utilise the skills and experience gained from my 34 years in education and
undertake a new challenge.
