1.Introduction1.Introduction
Warm or tropical climate is type
of climate which has a constant
presence in intertropical zone (it
is situated between Tropic of
Cancer and Tropic of
Capricorn). This climate is
located around Equator, so it
could be said which it is a strip
that surrounds Equator. It is
characterized by: high average
temperature, high humidity level
and large amounts of
precipitation.

Temperate climate is a type of
climate which it is situated
between artic circles and the
tropics. It is characterized by:
average temperature of 15º,
150 litres per cubic meter and
average humidity level.
Temperature can be modified
along the year but usually it
doesn´t descend from 0º.
Polar climate is a type of climate which it
is situated between polar circles (Arctic
circle and Antartic circle). It is
characterized by: low average
temperature, scarce precipitation non-
existent humidity.
The rainforest is a rainy and very dense
jungle which high percentage of
humidity. It is mainly located in South
America, near Equator, Africa, some
islands near Melanesia, part of
Madagascar, Indochina and the
northeast of Australia. It vegetation
great variety of species. It is
characterized by: large amount
precipitations, high temperatures and
high humidity level. This ecosystem has
got more surface tan other ecosystems.
It has got excessive vegetation and
great variety of species.
Temperature in tropical rainforest
ecosystems usually don´t exceed
33º, but they don´t descend from
20º; because they are in warm
zone, and therefore, near Equator.
Temperature usually oscillates
between 20-27º
This graphic shows us which
the different temperaturas of
cold months and hot months,
at most two degrees.
Rainfall in rainforest is very
abundant, this leadsto a high
humidity level. Sometimes
precipitaion can occur for long
periods of time.
The jungle has got a large expanse,
so it hosts a multitude of species
which only are find in such
ecosystems. One of thungs which
characterizes the forest is the large
canopy of leaves, which it is very
dense and can suppress the growth
of some plants. Some species:
epithytes, orchids and tillandsias.
2.4.2.4. FaunaFauna
Rainforest has got a lot of
insects, and animal species
which have a considerably
small size; also are some
mammals, they are few.
Certain animals are:
squirrels, guinea pigs,
sloths, cats…
Generally, in rainforest don´t
live excessive people because
in it are few places which are
“moderately decent” for
human life. Also, it is very
difficult to find resources to
survive as they are scattered
throughout the jungle.
However, there are tribes and
farmers living in it.
The principal
economic activity of
tropical rainforests is
tourism, usually
many people visit
this places along the
year. Some years
have even come to it
more people tan live
there.
