Copyright © SkillSoft, 2011 Speaker Notes: Today I’m going to be talking about the many ways that learning in general, and e-learning specifically, can benefit your organization and lead to a wide variety of improved outcomes. I’ll also give you a brief introduction to SkillSoft and I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions. I’m also hoping to learn more about your goals for learning and the specific challenges you’re facing.

  • #6 SkillSoft engaged KnowledgeAdvisors, a widely-respected, independent, learning analytics company, to conduct a study of SkillSoft end users so that we could better understand the impact that SkillSoft has on their performance and the performance of their organizations. The survey was emailed to over 30,000 end users and over 7,000 learners from 465 organizations completed it. Survey answers were compared to KnowledgeAdvisors benchmark universe of over 500 million responses. The results show clearly the value that SkillSoft e-learning brings to organizations exceeds other forms of learning and other providers. SkillSoft has a positive effect on job performance. Half were able to apply their new knowledge within 1 week and 86% reported they were able to apply the learning in 6 weeks. This is a much higher rate of application than typical learning programs. Learners cited increases in productivity, quality, employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and sales Learners reported decreases in cycle time, costs, and risk Learners also reported higher job satisfaction as a result of having access to SkillSoft learning. And many learners reported that SkillSoft e-learning made them feel more confident in their ability to do their jobs.
  • #7 SkillSoft also conducts an annual customer satisfaction survey using an independent research firm called TNS Prognostics. We chose TNS because they are the largest research firm in the world and they’re experts at measuring customer satisfaction. They do this kind of work for hundreds of companies, and that allows us to compare our results to the results from many other software and technology companies from around the world. SkillSoft once again achieved extremely high scores in all major areas: Ease of doing business Willingness to provide a product reference Customer service Product quality And Intent to repurchase. We can see that what drives these results is often the relationship customers have with their SkillSoft account teams, and the sense they have that SkillSoft really cares about understanding their business and helping them achieve their goals.
