Louie Sena proposes establishing a US-based nonprofit organization called Saint Joseph's School Alumni - USA to support fundraising efforts for a Philippine-based scholarship foundation and other school activities. The nonprofit would provide a centralized and organized way to collect donations from foreign and local alumni while complying with US laws. Establishing the nonprofit will require incorporating, drafting governing documents, registering as a tax-exempt organization, and opening a bank account. It will also require an ongoing commitment from an board and members. The proposal aims to better unite alumni from different graduation years under a common umbrella to achieve fundraising goals and organize annual reunions in a legal manner.
