Costumes 
 The actors in the movies wear everyday clothing to show real life and 
make it related to normal life. This makes the movie seem more real 
and can be relatable. 
 In frozen ground it is set in the 1980s so they have dresses according 
to the timeline that suits the story and the time period. 
 In our movie we have set it in a school so most of the costumes is just 
school uniform and also we try to make the teacher and students look 
different. We have also made got particular costumes based on the 
surrounding and also the time period we are in. 
 What people wear in movies depends on the setting of the movie. 
Alaska is a cold place so the people in the movie would wear warm 
clothing.
Characters 
 The characters in the movie are the police man/ 
investigator who is the hero of the movie. There is the 
girl who has been kidnapped who it the damsel of the 
movie and the kidnapper who is the villain of the movie. 
Other characters in the movie are people who help in 
the case or other parts of the story like family members 
who aren’t the main people in the movie. 
 In our opening scene we have the girl who is 
kidnapped and the teacher who is the villain. We also 
have the extra characters such as students in the 
school to make the setting seem more like a school.
Setting 
 Frozen ground was set in Alaska in America. Also there were 
places where the filmed other scenes like at the police station, in 
peoples houses and also in forests. The setting determines how 
people act and the things that happens in the movie. 
 In our opening scene our setting is in the school other places we 
filmed are outside the school but mostly in hallways, classrooms 
and places that fit the storyline of the movie. 
 Setting can also affect the costumes in the movie because the 
what people wear in the movie depends on where the movie is set.
Storyline 
 The movie is called frozen ground and it based on a true story 
about a man who kidnapped and murdered 17- 21 women. In the 
movie there is a girl (Cindy) who has been kidnapped by the 
murderer (Hansen) a patrol officer finds her handcuffed and when 
she tells the police the do not believe her because of lack of 
evidence and the believe that Hansen is an upstanding member of 
society. The investigator Jack fights with the girl to prove that 
Hansen is the murderer. 
 Our movie plot is about a new Teacher in the school and he turns 
out to be a weirdo. There is a girl who has been left by her friends 
because they are late for lesson. and when she is alone she gets 
kidnapped. The kidnapper turns out to be the new teacher and he 
has hidden the girl in the school supply cupboard now her friends 
have to figure out what happened to her.
Music and Special Effects 
 The music in frozen ground is there to add tension in 
the film which makes it a thriller. They use quite slow 
and nearly sinister sounding music. This will always be 
when they want to build something up or when they are 
building up to a big scene in the movie. 
 We have used quite tension adding music in our 
opening scene that make our movie seem thrilling and 
it adds tension to parts where something scary is 
happening.
