Commission for Senior Citizens Bill, NCSC 2014.
We at Silver Inning Foundation, an national and international recognised NGO working
with Senior Citizens, take this opportunity to thank you and MOSJE for taking up this long
pending demand of 104 million Senior Citizens.
We also request you to extend the time deadline for submission of comments and also post
this draft bill on your website and media for more inclusive suggestions.
We have gone through the draft bill and after consultation among our members and Senior
Citizens pan India, we are recommending following Suggestion to be including in final
NCSC Bill 2014:
At All Places in Bill, where ever you have mentioned ‘Union or any State’, add:

In 3 (2) Commission shall consist of, include:
• On member should be Senior Citizen
• Minimum 5 Member from NGO’s working with Senior Citizens should be there
• One member from AISCCON, National Federation should be there
• One member from NHRC should be there

• Special attention to Elder Women, Very Old (80plus), Tribal Elders and Disabled Elders
• To oversee, that all government programme, policy, laws are inclusive of Senior Citizens
concerns
• To direct Police, Court, Tribunal to take necessary action when ever necessary
• To call for Lok Adalat, Special Hearings time to time
• To promote Inter-generation programmes in education institutes
• To create Society of All Ages
