Silver fabrication demand increased 12.8% to 878.8 million ounces in 2010 due to higher industrial demand. Total silver supply also rose in 2010, up 14.6% to 1,056.8 million ounces. Looking ahead, total world fabrication demand is forecast to increase around 10% annually while jewelry and silverware demand may decline slightly due to high prices. However, investment demand from silver coins is expected to continue growing as investors remain attracted to silver.
